Deadlift strength felt solid today. Grip absolutely loyal on the 280 doubles after my (admittedly chalkless) scare on 260 last week. Not worried about having at least 300 in the tank come December, so even if I dont PR or get 700, I won’t embarrass myself at least.

Didnt happen. Came down with something viral last weekend and spent the weekend in bed aching to the bone.

Luckily there was a lot of great rugby on to keep me company. More to come this weekend.

Well second experiment with wraps felt better than last time. Still a loose wrapping but definitely feel the pop out of the hole. 10 reps at 70% has never felt easier. Might just stick with doing high bar and doing a bonus set at the end of the session with whatever my top weight is.

Great rugby coming. Not sure it will be a great result though unfortunately.

Theyre Ok for now since im doing virtually no low bar squats. They were never sore on bench, or any other exercise for that matter, just low bar squats.

The lcoation is the basically the Medial Epicondylosis picture, the symptoms don’t match though, wrist flexion and extension didn’t cause any discomfort so pretty hard to get an idea of what’s going on. Any ideas?

300 felt good, grip was solid, lockout was pretty easy, pretty sure I’ll have 300 off the floor just fine, especially with a deadlift bar.

5 weeks until testing, will 317.5 be there? :man_shrugging: Will I even get 310 for a PB? Guess I’ll have to wait and see.

If I don’t get 700lbs at the meet I guess I’ll have to binge eat over Christmas and try in the gym without worrying about weigh in.

Thanks man, appreciate it. It’s not often you see your experiences being particularly useful to someone else so when they are gotta make the best of it.

I average over a stone gained over a 2 week Christmas break for the last decade or so :joy: so there’s definitely data to back that up.
