It's all about the journey

I am ubber careful with my knee…after acl surgery I have NO desire to go through that again!! Plus the $15k to fix it just isn’t an option again!! lol!!

Ouch. I definitely don’t have $15k for any kind of fix :stuck_out_tongue:

Knee was a little achy today but I put that down to the rack pulls and volume I did yesterday. Iced it this morning and it’s already starting to feel better, so no worries. Just tired.

Weight today: 148# Go away bloat!

My knees are feeling ok the last couple of days too. Again walking down anything kinda niggles them. Here’s to a healthy knee 2012!

Happy New Year!

Knees okay here… but twingy lower back… this after coming back from a lat strain. For me… I NO PUSH any place that twinges AT ALL.

150LBS of bloat? Well… I’m so frakking bloaty that i won’t even weigh myself yet! I neeed a week of clean eating before I’ll even weigh myself and trust me I will be ELATED if it says 150! No more winter “bulking” for me ever! I take it waaaaay tooo far LOL. bad hallowed!

Good for you even stepping on that damn scale… I way to ekseered still!

^ well if I didn’t push I’d be with left with training my calves, lol.

techno: So happy to hear that! Woo 2012!

Hallie: I’m learning the difference between twinges and my knees just being tired. My knee can still feel solid even though it’s tired. When my knee is twingy, it yells at me to stop. And technically, I gained 6# of bloat over two days. 4# left to get back down to 144#. I’ve become a lot more zen about the scale… most of the time. I still have my crazy freak out moments where the number on the scale breaks me.

MiM: Bahahahahaha! I’d be working on the beach chest

Ugh, 90# felt heavy for board press today. I took too long off. It’ll feel lighter and more natural as the weeks progress which is good. Gonna push for that 135# goal I set!!

I just tried board pressing for the first time this week. How many do you use?

Right now I’m using 2 2x6s taped together but I’ve done single board and 3 board as well. Each has it’s place in the board benching scheme  I get weird looks walking around with it in the gym but I don’t really care.

Feel like I’m getting my form back. My knee is a little tired but not injured. It’s learning to handle the volume

A1) OHP: 45x5, 50x5, 55x5, 60x3x2
A2) SL RDL: 20x5x5
OHP felt light today  Woot!

B1) DB Bench: 30x8x3
B2) DB OHP: 20x5x3
B3) BSS: 10x10x3
Time to increase the weight on my db bench. These felt way too easy

C1) Palloff press: 17.5x6x3
C2) Hyper Ext: BWx10x3

Stretching! Especially the hip flexors, piriformus and quads. Hit the steam room after this. Sooo good

Ha, I can see that. I only used them once but in a basement gym. You have someone put the board on for you right?

This is what I had to do…

Nope. I have a bigger shirt that I put on over my workout shirt and put the boards in between the two shirts. Tuck the top shirt in and the boards stay. I bench in a squat rack so I can set up the pins in such a way that if I fail I can drop the bar and squirm out from underneath. Awkward but saves me from asking random guys for a spot.

The slingshot is pretty cool, though

Weight: 146#

Workout:
Just some nice easy cardio this morning.
25 minutes on the elliptical
Band glute bridges x60
Travel roller for the quads

I’ll do more later but that was a good way to start the day. Knee seems to have recovered from the workout yesterday

So now us random guys don’t get an ice breaker with you.

Sweet.

Awwwwww. I didn’t mean for that to happen. Tell you what, you can spot me anytime you come up here

I’ve had guys talk to me purely because I’m the only girl they’ve ever seen benching PL style in the gym before

It’s supposed to get up to 8 degrees Celsius today so I’m thinking of going throwing this afternoon. I promise vids if I do!

Way to be sticking to your eating plan. Good gorl!

The scale freaks me out still of course I mean lifelong nemesis it can be hard to change. What I DO KNOW now is that I fucking know how to lose weight. Obvi you do too. Diggin the slow steady approach you’ll be right where you want to be in no time… also kinda digging the low carb high fat macros! Curious to see how many cals you can handle on maintenence I bet its 2k which is quite livable.

Ok so remind me (I’m quite dumb today) you list the weights lifting in kg is that right? But wait no you are using 60LB DBs on Bench?

Bahahahahahaha! I’d be a tiny freak if I was doing 60# db bench  The only thing I ever have posted in kg are cleans and snatches. If I do anything else in kg, I include it specifically in the lift I’m doing. It would look like this:

Cleans: 30kgx?x?

If it doesn’t have ‘kg’ next to the weight, it’s in pounds

And damn, I know what you mean about the scale freaking you out. Hell, thinking about eating 2k cals for maintenance freaks me out. I keep thinking if I eat that much I’ll get fat again. Stupid, I know, but my brain is so very warped when it comes to calories. I’ll cross that bridge when I get there.
