Ryan thinks it is good to take my money and give it to oil companies. Why is that not evil ?

Who says it isn’t?

As a free market person I don’t think the government should be giving money to either wind or oil.

Tax incentives… eh, depends on a couple factors, but they aren’t the same as giving money to companies.

Because as we all know when you take money away from someone who earned it and give it to someone who didn’t earn it you hurt both the person you took the money from and the person you gave it to.

That Pitt is the problem.

No one has answered my question . I understand that it is evil beyond abortion (subsidizing wind farms) but Ryan’s tax plan cut subsidies to wind farms (which I can buy) and give subsidies to oil companies ? (which I don’t buy)

I’ll answer this for you Pitt, I work for an energy developer…wind is VASTLY overbuilt in this country, plus 90% of the wind blows at night when the energy is NOT needed. Presently there is no effective way to store the energy…so why in the name of FUCK should we subsidize an industry that is not doing anything?

Ryan is smart, he understands this.

If we subsidize oil development we take the power from countries who control the oil and want to see us wiped off the face of the earth (Venezuela for example)

How’s that Pitt?

Couple questions Lamb Chop, I have never noticed that the wind only blows at night , could you explain that to me ?

I know it is a little off the subject but did you start working out 5 or 6 years before you were born ?

OK 3 questions , Oil companies buy their oil from sovereign countries . How is subsidizing private enterprise going to take power away from Rouge countries ?

Yeah well, you know, if you ask Zeb THEY WORK FOR A LIVING.

That the money used for subsidizing those guys is taken from people working just as hard is entirely lost on him.

The Republican party of today is a branch of the progressive movement.

They swallowed hook, line and sinker that money just falls from the sky and that we need government to distribute it fairly.

The simply disagree with the other progressive bunch on how to spend other peoples money.

First answer El Pitto…the cooling of the earth causes the vast majority of non weather system wind, especially in the midwest and pacific northwest…the earth cools during the evening hours.

Second question, I am 35 and started lifting weights in high school…curious question, but there you go.

The more domestic oil we produce, the less we have to purchase from those nations…you know, the one’s that don’t like us and use our own money to hurt the U.S.

So in conclusion, wind power is not going to get you anywhere big picture…unless suitable storage capacity is developed (which is what our company is working on now).

I think you confuse giving free money to with help.

Helping poor people would involve actually fixing education, not just throwing money at the problem and setting up another government commitee that does the same thing as 12 that already are in place and fail at their jobs. Including state and local we spend more on education than on defense, and our schools still suck, particularly in poor areas… Our military is pretty good.

If education needs even more money, fine. But please, for the love of all man kind, have a detailed vision on how to spend the money and reform what is broken. Simply dumping money into a broken system isn’t helping.

Helping poor people would involve moving them, in conjunction with their own efforts, from net takers to net even, or even productive givers. Handing them money doesn’t do this. Holding open opportunity, and putting them in a position to take advantage of it, are the key. Never ending free money doesn’t do that.

Safety nets are supposed to be band-aids. Poor communities need stiches.

And we should keep in mind, that the vast majority of these poor helpless people in America, live significantly better lives with vastly more opportunity as is, than many, many people in the world.[/quote]

So for your conclusion. The wind blows 24 hours a day , solar is only good for day time , we also have nuclear , then fossil fuels .

Ok, last time, and keep in mind I work for a publicly traded company in THE RENEWABLE ENERGY INDUSTRY…

  1. 90% of usable turbine wind blows at night…understand?

  2. for a person who rarely puts together coherent sentences and routinely gets absolutely owned on these threads… you have quite a bit of sack for talking about MY age.

  3. Subsidizing our energy industry creates well paying jobs right now…been to Wyoming/the Dakotas/Montana lately?..they are exploding with high paying energy sector jobs…it also takes money out of our enemy’s hands.

  4. And the energy storage grid is the ONLY WAY wind power will ever be a viable energy source you dolt…and our company is based on RENEWABLE ENERGY DEVELOPMENT, hardly a GOP standby.

I swear, you are single handedly changing my opinion on pot use not damaging brain function in a noticeable way.

You may be told %90 of the wind blows at night. I am not going to try and change your mind even though you are wrong

It is funny that my communication skills have kept up with your obvious superiority

Again I am not going to try and educate an all knowing expert such as your self on theb error in your thinking in RE: to tax subsidies creating Jobs in the oil industry that the free market would have already created (maybe excepting for a few accountants)

In RE: to marijuana , I think you should appose it because it would match the intelligence of the rest of your posts

You clearly understood nothing of what I wrote, no surprise.

I am done arguing with you, you are being deliberately foolish (and if you are not, god help anything you spawn) on a subject that you have literally zero clue on.

I am sorry for trying to explain how wind power and renewable energy storage works to the dunce of PWI…just because you are losing brain cells at an accelerated rate, does not mean you have to drag down the rest of us.
