Is this video fat shaming?

Damn, I didn’t know The Bear was so ripped! Respect.

I was a little surprised, too!

In fact, the entire video stunned me. I wasn’t expecting any of it, haha.

Something tells me a NYC rooftop covered in pigeons would not be as sexy as they portrayed it as.

“Can’t use content that may negatively affect people”

What’s the endpoint of this line of censoring? Everything you ever say or do could negatively affect someone. My friend’s ex has BPD and one time I just sent her a picture of some birch trees with LED lights on them that I got to decorate my condo for the winter. She broke down and had a serious panic attack, because it reminded her for some reason of her abusive childhood with her aunt or something. We are progressively incentivizing mental and emotional fragility.

Ha! Yeah, more people than ever are overweight and obese, and the problem is clearly… diets.

I’ve noticed that most of the “diet culture” attackers in the fitness world are former anorexics or women with eating disorders. They’re viewing the world through their own experiences and hangups. Can’t recommend a diet to an overweight person who actually wants to lose weight because they might become anorexic!

Funny thing is, these same female “fit pros” sell diets. They just don’t call them that. “Don’t diet! But buy my nutrition plan that has you eating below maintenance calories!”

Also, in the celeb world, everyone was ranting about diet culture, how it was okay/healthy/normal to be overweight. And then Ozempic was released and suddenly they’re all losing weight. They jumped right on it at $1400 a month. Because they were lying all along, mostly to themselves.

That’s always been the plan with the social platforms: use language that’s so vague it can be interpreted in whatever way fits their current agenda. For some odd reason, “fat shaming” is part of it, and fitness advice is judged as fat shaming.

Short answer, no. Unfortunately it’s no longer that easy an answer.

That is classic!
