Is this Too Much?

I’ve been dieting for about 7 weeks now. I’ve eaten extremely clean, with almost literally nothing but turkey/salad/egg whites. I’ve made some great progress. But tomorrow I want to cheat. And not just 1 meal. The whole day. I have it planned out for now that I’ll have a heavy workout tomorrow, and I hope the extra calories will really boost my energy for it.

Heres what I’m planning

Breakfast
2 egg white omelettes with ham and cheese
Some whole wheat toast
maybe a PB and J?
some fruit

Lunch- 3 hours later
fried chicken- a few pieces, then maybe some healthier alternative

Snack between classes- Grow!/Metabolic Drive shake, triple PB and J on whole wheat with granola

Dinner/post workout- something a little healthier, with some pizza

Is that going overboard? Considering I’m an 18 year old college student I think I deserve it. It’s not that I dislike the diet I’m on. I just want to go off 1 day.

Is this a serious post? If so you have some serious self confidence issues. Eat whatever you want, you know the benefits of eating healthy and the drawbacks of eating poorly.

And you say you want to boost your energy for “it” but you never mention what “it” is.

That’s a cheat day?

Shit, I must have been stealing the tests from day one.

Eat some gooood food. You dont want to waste a cheat day by eating peanut butter and jelly and fuck fruit.

Double cheeseburger with bacon and kettle cooked potato chips + a few slices of pizza. Maybe a burrito or two and a philly cheese steak. That covers breakfast and lunch.

Thanks, Bonez. I feel better about myself now.

Cheat days require ice cream - dairy queen should be open everywhere now so you are in luck.

You need to get a lot more carbs for hormone upregulation. I’m for 6-8 g/kg of lean body mass. You should probably aim for the higher end after dieting so hard for 7 weeks. Maybe even extend this into Sunday. You’ll gain weight which will mostly be water and glycogen but don’t worry as it should come back to your baseline in a matter of days if you get back on your diet and are training hard.

Do a search on “refeeds.”

You were long overdue for a carb load, doing a cheat meal every week or a cheat day every 2 weeks is more effective. Good job on dieting though and keep it up.

I forgot to mention I did do 1 cheat day about 2-3 weeks ago. I ate plenty of carbs that day.

As for today, I ate whatever I wanted. It was good. I’m going to admit, I never noticed the effect carbs/insulin have on my body. I feel much better avoiding them, though today all in all i was in a terrific mood all day. It’s ridiculous how I never noticed that when I eat a lot of carbs, I’m put in a great mood for an hour, but then crash big time and get sleepy. Happened to me today after lunch.

Heres what I ate:

Breakfast- 2 eggwhite omelettes with extra cheese, PB and J with granola, piece of toast with butter and granola, piece of toast with PB, an apple

Lunch- 3 pieces fried chicken, piece of grilled chicken, some beef, a little fish, 2 rolls with butter, PB and J on a roll.

Dinner/Post workout (got a deadlift single- pulled so hard my nose bled- that’s a first!)- 6 pieces of pizza (theyre small, and I didn’t eat the bread part for half- so 3 slices with double cheese/meat), some chili, piece of fish, 3 small pieces of chicken

Dessert- triple PB and J with granola

All the rolls/bread I ate were whole wheat.

Back to strict dieting for the next 3 weeks or so. Thanks everyone for your help. Really appreciate it. Any other comments are still accepted.

You lost me at a 2 egg white omrlette.

read it as two omelets using only egg whites then lol

Man up.

Eat real food please.

People like this need a cheeseburger.

I can’t think of one single cheat day that ever involved “egg whites”.

Looks like a cut diet. This is going overboard? Damn man

I seem to remember you and me being in agreement that the correct answer for a cheat meal is pizza and ice cream in other threads like this.

I had a cheat day yesterday. It involved my usual peri-workout nutrition, got home, had 3 black angus cheeseburgers with mayo and a large side of sweet potato fries. For dinner I had about 5 bowls of home made mac n cheese made with heavy whipping cream, not milk.

bonez has it right.

Cheeseburgers FTW

I’m even of the mind that a burger is not really a cheat. It’s just a big sandwich. I wouldn’t take the fries though…unless it’s a cheat meal.
