Is This the End of Roe v. Wade?

Hasn’t that been his shtick for over 10 years?

Righteous indignation and a believed moral high ground lead to this.

Yeah. Once one finds a comfort zone, they don’t usually move from it.

I’m just wondering what happened to jaa jaa jaa.

I don’t know; I don’t read what he wrote that way. I read it more like, “Be glad you will be judged by God, who is perfect, and not by me, who is imperfect.”

I’d never even heard of Christian Nationalism before. I think one can be a Christian Nationalist while still being a Christian, but I don’t think it’s a correct belief/practice.

I think if American Christians think of themselves as an American before they think of themselves as a Christian, they’re probably on the path toward Christian Nationalism, if they aren’t already there.

You can care about where you live and be involved in civic life. That’s normal and fine. But from what little I know of Christian teachings, if your identity is tied more strongly to things of this world than things not of this world, you’re doing it wrong.

That would require a self awareness he doesn’t have. It would also require a sense of humility he obviously lacks. I mean, if he really were aware of his imperfection then he wouldn’t be so arrogantly assured of his righteousness.

I agree; however, my small bit of Google research on Christian Nationalism didn’t give me the impression that’s what it’s about.

If you’re not proud of being a Catholic (the only people in Heaven are one hundred percent, unequivocally Catholic) (“Christianity” in general, everyone except Catholics, is what I’m talking about, when any of them are lukewarm, deciding which Doctrine to follow, like a buffet line, choosing a selection of the tenants of the One, True, Faith) then you have your own issues, and that is going to get you spit out of Christ’s mouth, all because that person rejected the teaching / s of Christ.

Umm, zecaro, Roe v. Wade was overturned, and the issue was returned to the State level, thank GOD I’m not sure if you knew ; ). And now you are judging me (wait, I thought you didn’t sin, but whatever, jajajaja), I made fun with their choice to protest at a pro-LIFE march. Man, it’s funny how you think you are all wise, and that’s the best part because my family was in a restaurant where we were eating lunch, before the march, while I was running over to just see what the supporters of LIFE had planned. The best part zecarlo, I am a constant example to all of my kids. I own my choices and I when I leave this world, I want a huge list of enemies, not friends. People will have no question, as to where I stand on any given issue, or even my life in general. We all sin (I’m just as fallen as you, probably even more, and I am nothing but a sinning, spineless piece of feces, one that doesn’t deserve any of the Blessings of GOD has blessed me with, and I’m not even special enough to be even close to Him and His presence. But you can keep mocking me instead of actually defending your “positions.”

By no means am I attacking anyone, I know this medium sucks, and it clearly has it’s limits. When I said “thank GOD I won’t be at your judgement seat.” I was talking to @SkyzykS, at his judgement. By no means would I even compare myself to anything beyond my own limits, and would I never compare myself to GOD. Jesus Christ humbled Himself and took on human flesh to save humanity. He can do anything, but He chose to conquer death, so we could join Him in the next life. A quick aside, our choices are perfected in the next life, either bad or for GOOD. Humanity receives it’s fallen nature from the sins of Adam, because Adam was standing next to Eve as she was tempted by satan, that was a huge failure on Adam’s part. Never have I, and I would never even come close to comparing myself to what GOD does, even if, say I don’t understand the reasons. GOD is perfect and He can only do GOOD, anything less wouldn’t be possible, it’s against His Nature.

Cool, you can project yourself and mock me, rather than proving me wrong.

Oo, tough guy.

Nope, I just care that my wife and intimate family care about my soul (you know, circle of influence) and a holy priest or two, beyond that, I don’t / couldn’t give a [expletive]. But I do care about the behavior. Hate the sin, not the sinner, love the sinner. shrug

edit - screwed up new format.

Racking up enemies is great, but when I leave this world I hope a lot of people will say…

“Wow, that guy sure owed me a LOT of money.

And here I thought Enoch, Moses, and Elijah, all noted to be in heaven, are all non-Catholics.

I don’t think you know what judging means. I didn’t express an opinion, I pointed out facts regarding your behavior.

Why would you think that?

Then you failed as a Christian.

No, he wants to be a perpetual victim as he thinks his martyrdom will give him a voucher to enter the Pearly Gates. The problem is, he has to invent his suffering as it’s 2024, Christians aren’t being thrown to the lions anymore. So his suffering is seeing women in pussy hats.

And people like him wonder why the church is faltering.

@twojarslave - I like the way you are thinking!! But I would still prefer the people who spent energy trying to change me. ; )

Don’t confuse wanting you to go away with wanting to change you.

@RT_Nomad – This is NOT a Catholic Church defense thread, and I’m only going to answer this post. By no means am I a Catholic scholar and I don’t have a degree to defend the Faith. The following is just what I know about the Faith as I have been a faithful Catholic for most of my life. However, this is a pro-LIFE thread and I never use my Faith to defend against the atrocities of abortion. So, like I said, this is just my limited understanding of the Roman Catholic Church and her Faith.

Jesus Christ fulfilled every prophesy of the Jewish Faith. The followers of Judaism, like “Enoch, Moses, and Elijah,” they would not be blessed with Heaven because they were not perfect. A soul has to be perfect to even see GOD, let alone be bound up in His Bosom for eternity. The prophets and members of humanity who were not condemned to hell, they were in limbo, until Jesus Christ conquered death, and opened Heaven to humanity.

Because human nature is so fallen, all humans are therefore fallen, except Jesus Christ and His mother, Mary. Mary had to be sinless and perfect to be the Mother of Jesus Christ. She made the choice to be sinless because Christ could not, during any part of His existence, He could not exist with sin. Through the free will of Mary, she hates sin as much as her Son. Mary is fully human, compared to Jesus Christ, who is fully human and fully divine, He received His Humanity from His sinless Mother, Mary.

After Jesus fulfilled every single prophesy of the Jewish faith, and after He ascended to Heaven, the people who followed Him, it was known as The Way. Now I am not a Catholic historian, but after the first Council with the pope and cardinals, they called themselves Roman Catholics. The different schisms in the Church are answered by the various councils.

Information that I think is kind of crazy about the early Roman Catholic Church;

  • John, the last Apostle to die (he was in Ephesus, with Mary after Christ Ascended to Heaven) and he stood there as a witness while Jesus was crucified on The Cross. The other Apostles were not there, and they died a martyrs death to prove their faith.
  • the phrase “Catholic Church” was used in a letter by Ignatius of Antioch in the year 110.
  • in the year 150, Latin translations of the Scriptures are circulated among non-Greek-speaking Christian communities.

It’s interesting how fast things happened in the early Church and how slow things are today. There are exceptions, but they seem, far and few between.

edit - forgot an S. Oops, I fail at proof-reading.

Don’t worry, none of us thought you were.

Even though the Bible states that Elijah and Enoch went directly to Heaven and the Catechism agrees.
