Is This the End of Roe v. Wade?

I like the part about Aquinas and the ACLU.

He said nothing new. The issue isn’t if a fetus, embryo or zygote is a life form, or even human (adjective) life. The issue is whether or not it is a human being or person.

I called the bar tender at a restaurant a ‘birthing person’, that didn’t land well. I laughed my ass off. Then I tried menstruating person, sh… uh, I mean they didn’t like that either. How are we supposed to get along when people get offended at the least offensive words, as determined by uppity white lefties?

I salute you sir.
It would be clever if he came up with that nonsense on his own. But back when ‘new atheism’ was at it’s most fashionable, I regularly perused atheist websites to see what arguments they were trying to make. Many had the same list of Bible quotes to, get this, try and prove not only that God doesn’t exist, but if he did he was in fact that paragon of evil.
Well, they at least partially got their wish. People have certainly moved God to the backburner at best. And isn’t everything just great? Remove God and you will be rational, philosophically sound, well rounded people who don’t need fairytales to behave well.
They got the ‘remove God’ part right, the rest has gone horribly wrong. Any semblance of rational thinking has been removed. And reason and logic are now considered racist.

Christianity and catholicism have expanded and contracted throughout the past two millennia.

Maybe on the next cycle get the spiritual leaders in line a bit so that they dont commit conspiracy to carry out generations of child rape, huh?

Is that too much to ask?

Unfortunately, yes
It seems that this is more of a problem for church leaders than lay persons though…interesting to ponder.

 I find it amazing when people bemoan the dearth of religion and what they attribute it to, while arrogantly blazing past the massive atrocity that was being committed for decades.

“Oh, its the lefties! Or message boards!”.

No. They did themselves in.

This kind of sums up human history…

Heard an interesting thing about abortion access earlier today. I guess there are plans to skirt the law by having abortion cruises. Like the gambling cruises, or booze cruises during prohibition.

I guess this has been done in countries where abortion is prohibited. Might be a thing in the near future.

This never happened.

Brings a whole new meaning to “chumming up the water”

Sorry, ive got a streak of dark humor that therapists would love to analyze

I would attribute this to church leaders not being able to wed, masturbate, or have any form of ‘release’… what did they expect to happen?

*Priesthood 101*
“Okay, just, uhh, don’t beat your meat or have sex or get married and have sex… oh, and no porn! Now, here’s this young child for you to impart wisdom upon. His parents trust you completely and won’t question your motives at all.” *wink*

I’m not very pro reform in my faith, but one I don’t quite understand the resistance to is allowing priests to marry. I’ve had it explained to me numerous times from multiple priests and bishops but I still this the positives outweigh the negatives. Allow married men to become priests and maybe we could cut down the the amount of gay pedophiles drawn to the clergy.

I’m sure no one wants to hear what the Bible says. 1 Timothy chapter 3 makes it very plain. But we prefer to follow a religion that ignores the plain teaching of the Bible.

If the man is not married with children he is not qualified to lead that membership of the Church.

I am married with children and I am definitely not qualified by most standards.

I would be more like Sam Kinison preaching after his rejecting of organized religion, but way less funny and more insane.

Well… there are 11 verses. So…

That would involve admitting they got something wrong. The church has been historically terrible at doing this, as it brings questions about credibility (begs the question, what else do they have wrong).

It took them centuries of having solid evidence for them to admit they were wrong about Galileo.

Hell, I am still celebrating. Nothing makes me laugh like watching the left lose it’s fucking mind. I don’t know what is wrong with pro-life folks not partying like its 2999. Every time their heads spin around and say the stupid things they say, it cracks me up. This was a long hard battle fought and finally won.
It is interesting to me that even though they had Roe, they were never satisfied with it. Like they were terrified of losing, almost like they knew it was bullshit.

Well, I am certainly against child rape. And if you want to really show your ire, I happen to know where one, who was once a Catholic priest, who raped kids and got away with it, lives. If you want to give him a righteous beating, I can give you directions. The only requirement is you privately record it and send it to me.
I tried my best to expose him, to get him in trouble, to get him arrested… No one in the secular world cared one iota. Lawyers, Press, the law couldn’t give a damn less and I handed him over on a silver platter. I guess cause he’s old now. I don’t care, throw is 93 yr old ass in the pen. I hope he lives to at least 105.
