If you’d like to educate yourself you can read up on why places that have had restrictive abortion laws have gone the other way.
But that’s also easy to dismiss with a that won’t possibly happen here mentality as well.
But it is funny that your favorite justice thinks we shouldn’t look at Loving but we need to look at Griswold or Lawrence. Wonder if we could figure out why!
The Supreme Court justice whose wife is out there trying to overturn elections lol.
Is this supposed to be impressive? It has nothing to do with anything that was in my post. Also I used to have to go to court quite often at a previous job and some attorneys just like any other profession are wrong.
You know like all those attorneys for Donald Trump who said they could prove election fraud?
About what exactly is what I’m trying to determine. You’re a big fan of Clarence Thomas for some reason. Whose wife tried to overturn an election on behalf of a President who called a Republican Secretary of State and tried to overturn the election as well.
I don’t think things turned out well for some of those attorneys. Though I don’t know how many states they were licensed in. I think some of them are all of the sudden headed to have less licenses than before.
What does his wife have to do with him? Are we judging people based on their spouses actions now?
If so, a lot of people are in for a bad time.
Not sure why you bring up the trump attorneys that chose wrong. I was never in that camp - other than to try and discredit attorneys in general you don’t agree with.
I’m not in danger of losing any license over stating my opinion on a ruling and the aftermath. I hardly use them anymore anyways.
Perhaps it is unfair to judge Clarence Thomas being married to an idiot.
On a level of none to baby formula got sent to immigrants thread how mad do you think I am? I think maybe stuff comes off wrong because I was called aggressive earlier which is funny because I don’t know how one can be aggressive typing on a phone in some bodybuilding forum.
I made a thread some years ago that’s quite welcoming for things like this if you’d ever feel up to discussing it. The name of the thread is a bit different, but my initial post just talks about being open to any and all discussions/questions centered around this subject.
The entire point of my comment is that my beliefs are not necessarily shared by any group or organized religion. I have some friends that believe almost what I believe, but we differ on several interpretations. We frequently delve deep for a clearer understanding of passages via text messages.
I would bet ALL denominations say their beliefs are based on the Bible
So it’s a case of “my truth.” Which brings us back to rational vs irrational. If I don’t know something I say, “I don’t know.” I don’t bridge the gap of not knowing with a belief that I refer to as fact. If I bridge that gap with faith, I say so and admit it’s a case of feelings over facts, or lack there of. It’s not a sin to embrace irrationality from time to time.
