Is This the End of Roe v. Wade?

you know this is an argument beside the point. Saying ‘but the left supports cancel culture’ doesn’t really have any bearing on my argument. Because my point was absolutely not ‘the left doesn’t do wrong things’. If I had made that claim, then I would understand why you bring this up, but I didn’t. I was talking about a specific thing.

I agree. If it is purely a disagreement on politics it is shitty.

I am sure there are some examples of people getting cancelled that actually deserved it. I actually remember an example here on TNation about EliteFTS cutting ties with Metal over their owners statements.

ELITEFTS Has Cut All Ties With Metal Powerlifting Over Comments Made By Its Founder - Powerlifting - Forums - T Nation (t-nation.com)

I was addressing this and the discussion went from there. I wasn’t aware we were limited to specific things here.

I mean I think it is normal course of business to cut ties with somebody who is costing your business money via their politics or views.

That has happened to people on both sides of the political spectrum. And the funny thing is - it is all about money and profit - the business could actually give a fuck about the views.

On the example I listed? I am not sure on that one. I don’t personally know Dave, but I have heard things about him that make me think his business isn’t all about money. He seems to stick to his values.

I was talking about in general.

This makes zero sense to me. So first of all, A) are you saying people on the left haven’t called out pedophilia in the Catholic church? and B) why would something 99% of humans agree on be a ‘talking point’. The left doesn’t bring it up, because there shouldn’t be anything to talk about, because we already have laws against it and we all basically agree on it. If the left doesn’t regularly bring up how bad, say, grand theft auto is, should we expect the right to say ‘why isn’t the left talking about stolen cars more?? Do they LIKE stolen cars?’

Then I agree. I think it is silly that people think a corporation would give a shit about LGBT issues, or Black history month if they didn’t think it would increase or protect their profits in some way. This is in general, I am sure there are companies that have also lost money sticking to their values, but for the most part it is about money.

It has to be. You have a legal duty to shareholders in most cases of big corporations.

When Suzanne Vega’s song Luca came out, it was somehow controversial because it was about child abuse. I think it was a member of Camper Van Beethoven who said that we needed more controversial songs about things we all agree on.

This is like when blm supporters demanded people say black lives matter, or you were a racist.

That’s because youre California grown

“I was once considered a man, but others must play along with my mental illness and call me a woman now.” Fixed that for you.

That’s nice of him. My reaction to those types is usually different.

Calls for gun control in the wake of a mass shooting? “Man, I sure wish he’d gotten them instead.”-Me

Protesting against the overturn of a bullshit Roe v. Wade decision? “Man, I sure wish that either their sperm-contributing parents had pulled out, or their egg-having parents had aborted them.”

Elmer Fudd got mad when Bugs bunny dropped a piano on his head. But what pissed him off the most is when Bugs kissed him.
The left is the same way. When you challenge their beliefs with kindness and love they become furious. It forces them to face what they really hate, themselves.

With all of the winning they’re doing, they must really be hating themselves.

That makes them big mad.

As does ignoring them completely and going about your business showcasing your work and success while not being one of them.

I read somewhere that for any Marxist activity to get going, there has to be people who are obsessed with feelings of inferiority.

But does it have to be just feelings?
