It seems like a lot of beginners are showing up having heard some 1950’s junk about wrists, clavicles and “potential” and really bought in.
Then they’re all confused when they show up here nobody is paying attention to that stuff, which seemed so important before they started.

It’s probably confirmation bias, but nothing is new in regards to BBing or PLing - knowledge just seems to be cyclic.
Also, every millenial and gen z guy thinks they can look like AthleanX after a week in the gym and eating a salad. They haven’t been taught to work for anything and have been entitled to everything their whole lives. When they learn they actually have to work for some things, they just want to know if it’s ‘easy enough’ for them to spend their time on.
There has been a definite trend in snake oil sales going upward on this. Jawline is another big area of focus
It’s really easy to focus on the stuff you can’t control. It’s far more difficult to look at stuff you can control.

I went from similar to you to ripped. Got sick and got fat again and in 6 weeks I’m almost back to ripped status or just lean .
My love handles dissipate. Fat around stomach as well
But I’m also on TRT and I don’t eat massive amounts daily. One large meal and lots of h20.
Diet will cure these fat stores but it’ll take 2-3 years. Noticeable effect within the year if done right.
