Is There a 'Better' Yogurt?

Or if you’re like me and live in Canada, where everything new comes 2 years late, you can make your one.

Put fat free plain yogourt in a cheesecloth or coffee filter, let it hang for 24 hours so the juice comes off, and voila Greek yogourt.

I tried this morning, mixed it in my omelet mix, it was awesome. It adds a fantastic texture, very creamy and fluffy.

For a healthy dessert I’d add some honey, pieces of fruits, cinnamon and walnuts or something like that.
I do this as well. It’s a really good to use as a dip for raw veggies or stuffed into celery stalks.
Lately I’ve been buying Liberty no fat yogurt (Canadian brand, 12g protein for three quarters cup). Mixed with steel cut oats and fresh berries for breakfast, it’s awesome. I’ve yet to find a higher protein yogurt in Quebec, if anyone knows of a brand please post the details.

I’m all about Greek Yogurt + Superfood + Creatine. Awesome.

If Greek Yogurt is a bit bitter for your taste, you can simply mix in some regular flavored, or blueberry yogurt with it.

I often buy both, throw them into one large container, and mix.

Toss in berries if you like.

Yummmmmmmmmmy

I really like Full Fat French quark, 500mg tub is 50g fat and 43g of protein

If you go to a Ralphs or Dillons maybe, thats CA and Midwest, they have carb master yogurt with 80g cal, 12g protein and 3g carbs for 50 cents. cant beat that.
Kroger-family of stores. I’m a big fan of that stuff as well. Greek yogurt has a slightly funny taste to me, but this carb master stuff, looking at the ingredients, is basically whey concentrate, artificial sweetener, and some bacteria. Not at all natural, but still yummy. And cheaper than greek yogurt.

Just bought some Greek Yogurt, I love it. It’s a great change of pace since I’m dieting right now.

COSTCO carries it here in Colorado

Chobani is sold at Costco. Good stuff. I mix mine with granola. Bulk shopping ftw!

Do not really want to hijack the thread but I was wondering if anyone had tried soy yogurt, is it any good? Milk gives me pimples so I stay away from dairy.

Soy makes me cry and watch reruns of Sex and the City so I stay away from soy…

Soys got a bad rap, whether it is warranted or not I am not going to start up a debate about it. I personally do not like many soy based products.

I used to eat a lot of greek yogurt and never had an issue with breakouts even though milk at times has so I’d say give it a shot. I think it is safe to say greek yogurt is much better than soy yogurt in many aspects. Does soy yogurt even have any digestive enzymes in it?
