Is That Guy on Steroids? How to Know

Are you joking? What are your reference physiques? Action figures?

It’s not even a question. He is 100% using.

First, saying that his physique isn’t freakish in the least is laughable, in person you would have a completely different opinion.

But his current physique isn’t the main factor that screams ā€œPEDsā€.

Rather it is the monster improvements he made in his physique over the past 5-7 ish years.

Now, I’m not saying that gaining a lot of muscle mass while getting a lot leaner is not possible naturally.

What I’m saying is that doing that:

  1. in your forties
  2. after more than 25 years of hardcore training

Is not doable without steroids or other PEDs.

Don’t forget that Dwayne was training really hard in his early 20s when he played at the University of Miami. In fact, he was one of the strongest guys on a team of freaks. AND ā€œThe Uā€, especially at that time, was renowned for its strength and conditioning program.

He also trained hard when he was in the WWF/WWE.

So we’re not talking about a guy starting training late in life and making newbie gains. We are talking about someone who has been training HARDCORE for 25-30 years and who likely had peaked his genetics suddenly gaining A LOT of muscle while losing a lot of fat… in his late 40s. Let’s be objective for a second!

Also, look at old pics of Dwayne as a wrestler, he clearly had gyno (puffy nips), which is one of the main side effects of using aromatizable steroids like testosterone and dianabol.

So yeah, no way he is natural.

That can be hard to determine because some people might be smaller than their normal adult weight. I’ve known plenty of guys who were chronic partiers, drug users, video games addict, etc who were smaller than they would normally be.

A good clue is to look at your parents, your bone structure, etc. To have a decent idea.

Also, 18 is a bit young to judge normal adult weight.

Thanks for the humbling edification, Coach.
I hadn’t considered all of the factors you laid out in your response, and I [still] don’t consider the sources of criticism to which I referred earlier to be knowledgeable enough to pass judgement.
Which is why I asked here.

(and I literally just found the article wherein Johnson was one of the celebs who TC called-out. I had missed that earlier in the day.)
