Is HCG Neccesary for TRT?

45 y/o with 3 kids ( don’t want more ! ) I like being infertile . I am using 50mg twice a week T injections with anastrozole . Aside from avoiding testicals shrinkage . Will I get any other benifit from adding HCG ?

I am experiencing great results without it. Emotionally and physically.

Good to know . I too am getting great results - more muscular , loosing fat . Had some issues with high E2 , but working them out with AI.

Same here …no HCG …I feel great and am doing good. I don’t want to add any more external chemicals than I have to. Test Cyp and Arimidex is enough for me… and besides I’m primary so I don’t think HCG would help bring test levels up anyway.

In cases of secondary and even some mild primary cases for me the question is, do you want testicular failure?

Your nuts are your nuts after all. Yes e2 becomes harder to control, but I think its worth it.

probably right… My doc said she would give it but didn’t think it would help much. What do you mean by testicular failure?? like never have any kids??? or the nuts completely disappearing ???

TRT Testosterone injections will raise testosterone levels and if taken in excess will raise estrogen levels.

Most TRT patients to some extent also suffer decreased pregnenolone levels. Pregnenolone is synthesized from cholesterol which all three hormonal pathways begin with. I tcan be converted to DHEA, progesterone.

Pregnenolone and its sulfate ester are under investigation for their potential to improve cognitive and memory functioning, and also for it’s ability to inhibit anxiety. Pregnenolone is also being considered as a potential treatment for schizophrenia

HCG increases pregnenolone production, and therefore restores a more
natural balance of our hormones. Pregnenolone is IMPORTANT.

HCG is akin to LH (Leutinizing Hormone) which is sent from the pituitary and signals the testes to make testosterone. HCG also acts as a signal to your testicles to pump out more T.

It is given by injection and only lasts in the system for a few days, gradually tapering off based on its half life.

In response to your notion of not wanting to put more things into your body then you have to…HCG is a natural molecule produced by the placenta and utilized during birth, it really is not administered in the same way that your body is used to receiving LH. But neither is HRT.

If HCG stimulates the testicals , will it boost your T level higher if used while on TRT ? Are there other ways to boost LH or Pregnenolone?

Dunno for your case, buit mid cycle I stopped pregnyl, and I didn’t fell quite right. I can’t exactly explain it, I just felt a little off at times. Restarted it, and after 2 injections, I was back to normal.

I use it to stop ball shrinkage / ache. I don’t feel any positive mental effects from it though.
I went for a year without and the ache got really bad, plus my boys we’re turning into mush.

I use 1 250iu shot every 7-10 days and it keep my boys firm and full, and more importantly ache free.

That pic is kind of bizarre. Provigil is the trade name for modafinil, which is a drug to promote wakefulness. It has nothing to do with HCG.

Lots of good info here… I might HCG a try. It can’t hurt…Thanks for all the info…
