Is Dr. Dre on Steroids?

Hey, this has probably been discussed ad nauseam on forums and on the internet, but I don’t usually come on them so I wouldn’t know.

Recently a friend of mine showed me a picture of Dr. Dre at a somewhat recent awards ceremony, and I was shocked at his change in appearance. Before I show that picture, this is what Dr. Dre looked like a few years ago:

Unfortunately I haven’t been able to find a full body shot for better comparison, but he’s claimed that he was around the 220-230 lb mark and with a pretty high body fat percentage.

Now here is the picture of him at an awards show sometime in 2007:

As my thread title reads, my friends all insist that he has taken HGH and that this transformation is in no way natural. I believe that Dr. Dre has been in the gym hard for four years busting his ass on weights and did get this body naturally.

Seeing as butting heads with my friends probably won’t get a definite answer, I decided to ask people on this forum in the “Steroids” section. I assume you probably all can tell the difference between a natural body and a body enhanced by other means.

So I ask you then: Does he look like he did this naturally, or not?

Thank you for reading this and have a wonderful day.

I pretty sure he is, but he still had to work to make that transformation

To get that body naturally is possible. Is it likely? I doubt it, but it is a futile debate because we can never know.

He looks good and obviously works hard and eats right, which I think is great, no matter what else he takes.

hard to say, but it almost looks like his ears and nose may be slightly larger/more prominent… could be his reduction in body fat, or could be from GH. Yes yes, he is of african descent, but look at the before picture, than look at the after. hard to say, his girl Mary J Blige was on the G…

a couple years of strict dieting (naturally)could easily do that.People who post rumors on forums about so and so celebrity being on what and what not are just plain stupid. How the hell do they know?

C’mon man the guy’s a fuckin Dr. All he has to do is write himself some scripts and he can have any and all he wants.

Thats an awesome change.
Can be done naturally, thats for sure,
its not like he’s massive.

am i missing something? i mean yeah he looks more muscular in the second one. two things stick out to me:

a) four years is plenty of time to make whatever change he made.

b) how can we really tell? he’s wearing clothes in both pictures.

yes his traps are big and you can definitely make out some more definition but how much of a difference is it really? hard to say.

he was working out with Stan Mcquay (sp?)

In the second pic his left hand looks really weird

Bushy what do you think of this comment? I have to disagree.

By the way Dre is taking a LONG time with making the Dretox album.

What am I, Claude Rains?

What exactly do you disagree with, guy?

Who really cares if he is on or not. Its his biz. Not yours or mine. He looks great and is taken care of himself. I think he needs a congrats and pat on the back. Still takes hard hard work to get there.

Hey, Barry Bonds’ transformation from beginning to end is possible naturally as well. He was a skinny guy when he came into the league. But as far as weight goes I have made about the same change naturally. That being said…

Dre’s transformation was pretty sudden in my opinion, and I found it interesting that right about the time he showed up looking that way at the awards was the same time that a handful of R&B artists showed up on some of the HGH lists.

My thoughts? If that is the body you want to attain, yes you can do it naturally. If you do that and people accuse you of steroid use, take it as a compliment to your hard work and dedication and wear it as a medal on your newly sizeable chest. And if you choose to use AAS to attain it and people accuse you of that, congratulations…you got the effect you were looking for and people noticed. Win-Win.

I don’t like argument for argument’s sake…but in this case I have to say NO.

  1. He is black
  2. He has lots of money
  3. He has lots of free time

High school buddy of mine was 5’11 with visible abs and ate fried food washed with cokes all the time. And this was 20 years ago.

I have seen plenty of black kids who are ripped and have 16 inch arms naturally.

Genetics are the main factor. Just do the best with what you got.

I like to think that it is more than possible to build the doc’s physique without using AAS.

By the way who is Claude Rains? Probably before my time or something.
