I got down to 207 a couple years ago. If I flexed then I looked good, but I just looked skinny the rest of the time - especially with a shirt on.
@aldebaran would be considered borderline overweight. Just saying.
I don’t think any athlete takes BMI seriously, at least not by now. I just think it’s kind of comical, in How it attempts to present an accurate portrayal of the shape and condition of even most average people.

Yep just checked and indeed almost overweight lol. I checked with The Mountain and he’s at 35, severely obese right now ahahah
Indeed it is only for sedentary people
FFMI or fat free mass index is the Real number.
I can’t imagine there is any medical professional out there that would say The Mountain is at a healthy bodyweight though…
Does anybody remember Thor’s father’s height weight? He is probably natural. What’s that guy’s BMI? Is there also a huge brother?
I was just checking that out the other day. His father and grand father are about the same as him.
Not when he was a strongman. Right now though there are probably a few who’d say he is.

This was a few months ago when he did that exhibition bout, he’s smaller now. Looking super healthy. I mean, he’s still big enough to place the heart under some strain so you might be right, but I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that someone considered him to be doing alright for just being a massive human in general.
He’s way leaner right now, but he’s still, you know, actually 150 kilos ![]()
Yeah, that’s what I mean - he could still be ‘unhealthy’ but I just don’t know that standard medical opinions include giants.
I’d be very curious to find that doctor. He’s still clocking in over 3 bills, no?
Extra weight is still extra weight as far as your heart, lungs, other organs and connective tissues are concerned. At one point, even if it’s a lot of muscle and little fat, it’s gonna be a strain.
Yes, but he’s 6’9 and just enormous. There’s just no way for him to be in any weight range that medical standards would apply to. If he’s looking lean, he’s as healthy as you could expect a giant to be.
It’s tough to say what he’s on right now, but obviously he’s taken tons and tons of anabolic steroids during his strongman career. So that question is kind of moot at this point. To me, that picture would suggest that there’s an argument to be made about him being healthy, or as healthy as he can be after years of heavy abuse. If he’s using now, it’s a fraction of what he did.
I’m sure there’s not much data for what is health for 6’9 giants, but I imagine not taking PEDs would have assisted in being at a more reasonable weight.
Oh yeah I’m pretty sure he uses either nothing or healthy TRT right now, but he certainly didn’t lose all his gains.
He really looks great and healthier and even happier now
No, but if someone who has taken a bunch of PEDs goes to the doctor looking like Thor at max deadlift level, and then stops the PEDs and goes back looking like that, someone would likely say he’s healthy, unless they just get the ‘unhealthy’ label for the rest of their lives. Dorian Yates looks super healthy, but he’s still shaved years off his life with what he did.
I’d go with “healthier”.
I just can’t see it being identified as healthy.
Fair enough. However, your original statement about “any” medical professional - Trump’s doctor putting out a statement calling him the picture of health - so I’m gonna say there are thousands that would call Thor healthy, just maybe no decent ones, haha.
