I know of an elementary school in which half the students are special ed.
Also, going back to her being a sexual abuse survivor what are the odds she did not mean rape but hid behind this ambiguous phrase of the moment and actually she just had some guy push her against a wall and try and shove his hand up her skirt?

Whoa buddy, I should have said like small/10% chance she meant something else.
-She’s proven that she’s highly manipulative, can really stretch the truth and lives in her own bubble …she has 9 million+ friends on instagram egging her on telling her she walks on water every day. Its really not totally unreasonable.
And yeah i’ll repeat: rape/violence against women is horrendous.
Low. I’d say the chances are a lot higher that she doesn’t know the difference between sexual assault and sexual harassment.

If you had a daughter who came home and said she was attacked would your response really be “aww come on he just pushed you up against the wall and tried to shove his hand up your skirt!”

Don’t we all accept the fact that all politicians LIE about everything? We question and ask them to back up their claims to try to keep them more honest. Why would the topic of rape/sexual assault be an exception?

Unless she is filing charges then she doesn’t have to back up her claims. And given the subject she can always says she doesn’t want to talk about it with more details.
My point was why is questioning their claims when it comes to this subject considered taboo? They’re politicians with powers pertaining to pretty important stuff like legislation, not your average citizen.
And anyone with the mental ability to tie their own shoelaces knows they lie all the time.

There’s not much to gain from questioning. Especially if the person is so shameless that they are going to sink their own credibility soon enough.
I feel like you are trying to say not all sexual assaults are equivalent in regards to their egregiousness.
And perhaps AOC’s experience is off the less severe variety yet she is exploiting the current cultural sentiment that conflates the various nuanced distinctions separating violent sexual assault and an unwanted pat on the ass.
Like obviously they are not the same. And obviously most people don’t condone either variety but are are we really gonna act like they are the same and should be treated and views as such.
Is stealing 10 dollars the same as stealing 100,000 dollars.
Is punching someone in the face resulting in a black eye the same as hitting someone in the head with a bat resulting in a skull fracture.

The responses are not the same and for good reason.
I would consider it disingenuous to allow one self to be perceived as a violent sexual assault survivor when in fact it was something significantly less severe like an unwanted advance, maybe leering eyes or even an ass grab. Not that thats ok either way.
Its definitely not warranted to tell someone to go fuck themselves because they suspect that is what AOC is doing.
I would really like to see his though process on that one.
Also, I don’t think what you said implied that victims of less severe forms of assault should just get over it. And I don’t think what you said promotes rape culture. Because I can see this going there.
