Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Did I mention wrong? First of all, I am not the only poster who has exposed iscariot for the American hater that he is. Dustin and Derek6 are two examples that come to mind. As you seem to realize (at least to other posters) there is no excuse for calling someone a “nazi.” As Derek6 and myself have pointed out, iscariot’s post is straightforward and allows for no misinterpretation, especially in light of his other anti-American sentiments. My sources were: The Autobiography of Theodore Roosevelt, Mornings on Horseback by David McCullough, The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt by Edmund Morris, and Theodore Rex by Edmund Morris. Given the best selling nature of these books that the Pulitzer credentials of David McCullough, I’ll stick with my sources.

My bad… I somehow missed that one. I agree with your statement. I know plenty of so-called “christians” who have a liberal agenda as well. Sharpton and Jackson are two that come to mind. The both of them need to go ride buses in the West Bank till something unfortunate happens.
There is a difference however in a couple of small time, mosquitos of human beings who make a lot of noise but really truly have NO impact on society, and a hardcore moral majority member who infiltrated the presidency on the premise of being “moderate”, then turning around and nominating EXTREMELY religious people with an agenda to positions of power where they can mete out their own brand of justice. (whew… long sentence). Case in point is that evil man that Bush just nominated for US federal appeals judge: Bill Pryor. He represents a very narrow slice of the most extreme people in the country, yet by virtue of us putting Bush in office this man could be appointed to a PERMANENT LIFE TIME POSITION. People like this scare me MUCH more than Jesse Jackson. Jackson doesn’t scare me… he makes me laugh. These characters like Ashcroft and Bill Pryor make me want to move to Libya where its safe!

I’ve responded to you twice in as many days. This is causing me physical pain. Anyway, let’s get this over with. I was incorrect. BOTH, Edmund Morris AND David McCullough have won the Pulitzer prize. Throw in the Autobiography of Roosevelt (autobiography=by the man himself) and your comment about those professors “. Professors who know a hell of a lot more about history than your ass” seems a touch weak. I saw where they teach, and I’m not surprised that you quoted them. They (now I’m generalizing a bit) probably have the same fading gorein2000 t-shirt that lumpy wears up his tree. To remind everyone, hyoge stated that Theodore Roosevelt wasn’t so tough. I showed conclusively that he was neck and neck with Andrew Jackson as the bravest man to ever occupy the White House. Add to that, his White House policies included taking on the Trusts. Remember there was serious debate about whether J.P. Morgan was more powerful that the United States Government. I cited many other examples of extreme political courage (sometimes bordering on recklessness) that T.R. engaed in while in the White House. I’m not going to rehash my argument. I dealt with very specific points in your argument. As is the custom for liberals when they have been effectively rebutted, you altered your original argument and went into some sort of mundane analysis of the number of prosecutions during T.R’s Presidency versus his successor, Taft. I might add that these prosecutions of Taft’s Presidency would never have happened had T.R. not “clipped the wings” or the Trusts in the first place.

If you guys agree with my rebuttal, then there is ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT that hyoge came up very short in his “arguments.” If they agree that my argument was much more erudite and factual, then hyoge, you should take that as proof that you are in way over your head. You have to remember that the bad guys have a nearly pathological dislike(including calling me a nazi) for me. I make them very uncomfortable. I won’t allow them to run their mouths unchecked. They hate that.

I am new to this forum and excited for this chance to exchange ideas with you.
I respect Mr. US=Good Guys and his views, I think for the most part they are well thought out although I do not fully agree with him. I will focus this first exchange on the topic of President Theodore Roosevelt. I believe Mr. US=GG both stated and through his arguments that President Roosevelt was one of the best Presidents the Unites States has ever had. If I have misstated your view I am sorry and would like to be corrected.
That said, I disagree with the larger point that TR was in fact one of the greatest Presidents in the history of the US. In my opinion the two best things TR did were:
I know have a question for you Mr. US=GG. Using your wealth of knowledge on the subject of TR - if he were here today and heard your arguments would he believe you were a jingo or think you a goo-goo? And why? If you are unfamiliar with these terms I would be most happy to explain them to you. They may not have been listed in the two or three books you have read on the subject.

Were you saying that I typed that quote? I honestly don’t think I have ever written those words. Please reference me to that thread immediately. If I have written that, then I was wrong and I 100% apologize. I DO NOT ADVOCATE the killing of the bad guys on this forum. Most of the bad guys are just confused or misinformed (restless/iscariot being the exceptions). Again, please reference me to the exact quote. If you’ve misquoted me knowingly, then you should be ashamed. That would be a very cheap trick.
Now for our personal business, I am not going to tell you what I do for a living or my service. Let’s just say, I do and have done a little more than my share. I put my money where my mouth is. Yes, I have friends who have not been bought. As you can see from fellow posters, there are plenty of people who respect my views and my convictions. However, as you also know well, I don’t suffer foolishness well. If you are going to make some statement like, “T.R. wasn’t that tough” you had better be ready to back it up. Don’t change the subject, just stick to your point or admit you were wrong.
