I'm not trying to get involved in your "debate" with US=GG. You should, however, go back and look at some of the arguments US=GG has had with the "Bad Guys". US=GG has not been any more intolerant than those who disagreed with him. Iscariot, sitting over there in New Zealand, calling the U.S a terrorist nation is just a sample of the intolerant and vile remarks that the obvious anti-Americans have made over the last several months. I've even had a few bouts with the Bad Guys myself.
I don't know if it is the extreme liberalism that causes the Bad Guys to hate America or plain jealousy, but if anyone has made fools of themselves it has been several of Bad Guys. And they know who they are.
I'm not coming to rescue US=GG. He can handle himself just fine. I just think to be fair you should look at some of the remarks made by the Bad Guys before labeling US=GG as intolerant.

If I am responding specifically in regard to areas where I disagree with the US Government’s actions, why should I, as a corallary, say something nice about something unrelated. for example

I mean, logically, where’s the sense in that.
Now, trying to be fair, you could draw the inference that because I am specifically down on specific aspects of US Foreign policy I am down on the US completely. However, you can’t actually make such an inference logically or rationally since it has no basis or sound/ valid premises from which to draw such an inference.
I could actually fill several pages about the things I like in regard to the USA particularly in regards to cultural contributions in writing, painting, dance and music. There are several statesmen and inventors I admire - but as I said above, that’s not the point.
I’ll also note that there have been other whom have made far more trenchant remarks about the US, are they exempt from your comments?
Now, to your other comment about some of my arguments becoming cliched and people getting sick of them. No shit, me too. Bluntly speaking though, I never started the personal attacks, and I would quite happily have let it rest but I am sick and fucking tired of hearing [1] what a bad guy I am and

Too many people want to twist every thread to their own political discussions. I am waiting for a question about squats to turn into a discussion about Iraq, the last election, or how fucked up conservatives or liberals are.
Getting back to the original question, I don’t like to have any belief without thinking it out. And if I ever gain knowledge that a belief of mine is incorrect, I will rethink it, or abandon it. I also often think about my beliefs and why I believe them. Doing this I have changed my beliefs, and I understand myself better.
Too many people are incapable of thinking for themselves. If anyone agrees with any person, or group 100% of the time it means that they let others do their thinking for them. I don’t care if this is a political commentator, a politician, a political party, or a religion. You must be able to think for yourself.
If you cannot do that then you should shut up, not because you might or might not have a valid argument, but because you don’t know why it is valid or not, or even know why you believe it.
Now let’s all go post pictures of our butts on the photo forum and annoy the T-mag staff.

Hello fellow forum members. I am brand new to this website. I happened upon this thread because it was on the top of the list.
I do not want to offend anyone. However, I have read Cupcake’s posts, and United States=Good Guy’s posts. I must ask the supporters of Cupcake, Are you guys kidding me? You cannot seriously think that he bested US=GG. Not only does US=GG demonstrate the ability to adapt to any style of writing, but his grasp on the language appears much stronger than Cupcake’s. How was the guy supposed to respond to those vicious personal attacks? I have to add that I thought his response was actually quite moderate. I would have been much more angry than he appears to be.
First of all, there is no excuse for cupcake to have called US=GG a “Nazi fuckhead.” That was way over the top and you all should be ashamed. Second, to Iscariot, your defense of that usage is both lame and reprehensible. Third, I have gone back and read US=GG’s posts in detail. I must say that he seems to defend his country against what he calls unwarranted attacks. I can respect that. Most of the time he seems to just be responding to other’s attacks. You have to give him credit for standing up for his beliefs. I looked up iscariot’s posts. I found this quote from him: “I never said the US has got to get every terrorist country - they’d have to attack themselves and Israel and other allies - or none at all, it’s just that I’m a logical person, and the rationale presented per potential action has huge holes” I’m sorry Iscariot, but you just called the United States and Israel and “other allies” terrorists. I’m not sure how you could be trying to weasel out of that. I would use a much stronger adjective to describe you than “bad.”
In summary, I know I will probably have irritated and offended some people, but
Cupcake and Iscariot are clearly the losers in an argument with US=GG. He also operates from the moral “high ground” because nowhere have I seen him call either of you “terrorists” or “Nazi fuckheads.” After reading many of their previous posts, I would say without reservation that US=GG has the much more developed intellect and the stronger argument.
Congratulations Derek6 you are obviously one of the good guys, thanks so much for opening my eyes to the superior intellect of US=NF. You’ve changed my mind completely and I now think Cupcake is a stupidhead.
