Instant Pot Recipes?

Team,

Buying an instapot today to try and broaden my meal prep game.

I have no idea how to use one of these.

Throw out your recommended recipes, and any other tips for getting the most out of one of these things!

Had to settle down when I read this. My Instapot and I are tight. Well, I abuse it multiple times a week, but still.

First off, it sounds weird, but meat comes out amazing. I think, better than crock pot, if you like it shredded and tender.
Chicken Breast:

*Variations: throw in a jar of salsa, or salsa Verde or marinara sauce. Not all at once, pick one of those.
Rump or Chuck Roast:

Pulled pork:

Beef Barbacoa

**Pro tip: drain off a bit of the liquid then take a hand mixer with the hook attachments and shred the meat right in the pot.

It’s also pro at making rice, if you don’t have a rice cooker:

Or potatoes:

Should do for the boring meal prep. Here are a few of my favorite full recipes:
Taco Pasta:

Beef Stroganoff

Beef Ragu

Chicken chili:

Chicken Tagine

For St. Patty’s

@unicornsandrainbows damn, you delivered haha. Seriously appreciate it all! I did a Costco run today and got ingredients for a chuck roast, a turkey chili, and some shredded chicken tacos, now I can figure out how to actually cook the stuff in my fridge lol.

@shaneinga ooh my wife wants to try this now, that looks great!

@unicornsandrainbows I tried both the shredded chicken and the shredded beef, both turned out great! Have some buffalo chicken tacos and some pot roast for the meal preps this week. Gonna give a go at one pot monster mash next time, see how that works!

  1. it’s a liar. “Cooks in 10 minutes”…. Then takes 10 minutes to come to pressure and 5 minutes to vent. I’m onto them.

  2. I’ve made pot roast, shredded chicken, and chili. All of it tastes great, made almost no cleanup mess, and was pretty fast and easy.

  3. it’s a cool new way to cook that the wife and I are having fun looking new recipes up for, so it’s worth it for that alone

With St. Paddys around the corner, start loading up on cheap corned beefs, freeze a bunch and pressure cook them whenever you are in the mood. I use some liquid smoke to give it a smoky flavor and will finish it in the air fryer to crisp it up.
