Insomnia Since Starting TRT

@narcissusford This is 100% me!

Makes sense.

I also speculate exercise ruins boners. Just too much adrenaline floating around all the time.

Doing an experiment right now. Eat a healthy diet with enough protein to satisfy me, not stuff my face until I am bloated and constipated from the amount of protein. Lift weights just to maintain muscle, and mainly focus on cardio. Running, biking, kayaking, etc.

  1. Don’t stuff my face forcefully with protein, only eat what I crave. Don’t be scared of carbs, they are energy! Honestly in my early to mid 20s I did my own thing never knew anything about any bro science or real science repeated by bros and I must have had one of my best physiques eating only 100g or something of protein if that.

  2. “Be active”, and lift weights with a more maintenance view stacked on top of activities.

@narcissusford So, I haven’t exercised in a couple of weeks… Yesterday I decided to try a few sets of bench pressing… last night I had severe insomnia, I just don’t understand this!!

I’d love to know what your diet is like for the 2 hours before bed. I think food and digestion greatly influences sleep quality or lack thereof.

Also, any alcohol use? And sorry if i missed something in your thread.

I usually do not eat any time close to bed time. My last meal is around 7-7.30pm and I usually go to bed around 11.30pm.

I only use alcohol socially on a weekend - nothing excessive. My diet could be better.

You could be low blood sugar when you’re trying to sleep. Cortisol spikes, telling your body to wake up and eat.

Try eating a few oatmeal packets before bed for a week. See if any improvement.

I will certainly give that a try, I’m willing to try anything at this stage.

Guys i’ve been on trt for 2 years UK based all fine was on 125mg Test E once a week but now im getting migraine 48hr after jab any ideas here my blood

thanks

TT, FT and E2 are all elevated. Testosterone is adrenergic and some are more sensitive than others. When my T dose goes up “too much”, even when my estrogen is controlled, I get headaches, feelings of tension etc.

If I were you, I’d try 50 mg’s of test E injected Mon and 50 mg’s on Thursdays.

If that’s going to help, it should help within a couple of weeks.
