Well me and a team mate played against a professional team in a small sided game. We did lose, but not so badly. It was a really good reality check on where I am at with my fitness. From a professional level - not very close, but not so bad.
Technical skills - I am almost there. My defending is better, but my ball playing and passing is not that good.
Physically - I have to work a lot. Funny thing is that I am getting faster, and I have barelly trained for speed. However I am able to sprint equally fast with players playing on my position. Obviously wingers and full backs are quicker. Change of direction and side speed is also getting faster.
I measure how hard they are based on the oposition strength.
Easy being really a friendly blob just looking to run around.
Medium when there are some good players.
Hard is when everyone is good, playing amateur, semi pro or pro.
And very hard when there are mainly pros.
For example yesterday i had the oposition team with 3 pros and 3 semi pros, while ours was mostly semi pro and amateur. So i had to run extra to cover. It was really hard.
I am lucky we have a rich pro player who made his own pitch for small sided games and is organizing on a daily basis. There are lots of good players comming.
In my town which is an ex good soccer town. There are is one major pro club, and like lots of second division teams. Basically we dominate the second division with teams in it. Third division is the same. Our town has more than half the teams. It is the semi pro and i play there. Last and 4 the division there are 20 local teams and it is the amateur one.
It was a horible weather and i was semi sick half the time this week. I was stuck in the city i work at for a couple of nights, because the roads were closed. So slept in a friends apartment.
Anyway a wasted week.

I was hungry to play so i had a very good game
10 x 30 sec at 50% jog + 30 sec at 75 % cruising speed run
90 sec rest

This workout appears to be much harder for me. By the end of the second run there was barely any difference between he recovery jog and the more intensive run. I stopped due to some pain in both knees.
I had so much drama going on last week, i had little time to post. Basically on Sunday i was met by the club owner and coach with the words they do not need me. I was then asked by the coach who was leading the other team to play the game for then as he has many injured. He played even with an injured Goal Keeper. So I ended up loging in 90 mins for the oposite team. I played extremlly well and handled our star striker without much effort.
The captain of my team asked the coach and the owner to return me to the team after the game, but it seemed they could not handle their ego.

Since my ex team is playing in a tournament for SSG i played with them a bit.
I found a team later this week. They actually paid transportation expenditures.

Logged one half for the new team.
There were many new players in the team so it was like a trial. I had one major error that led to a goal, but overal played well. The owner and the coach of the team really liked me and offered I play for them. They said I will probably be a starter or log at least 30 mins per game.
The team is in the end of the table, but there are many new and good players, so we have the ambition for a mid table finish.
I was really down last week. But glad i found a new team so my motivation is back. I will start training again hopefully this week.
No much time for a workout, but gyms opened so i had to go.
Warm up
SS Squats and DLs - 3 sets x 7 reps with 60 kg
I was afraid of doms, because i have not lifted weights since December.
I also have a team training in Sunday where i will have to impress, so doms are the last thing i need

Aerobic power run on a threadmil
4 mins at 11km per hour
2 mins at 9 km per hour for recovery
X 3 times no rest between rounds
I got cold or something else, but do not think it is COVID, so I am stuck at home.
Boss does not want to pay for PCR test, nor I do.
I feel okay, went outside to run for very short to test my breathing.
Leaky nose and some cough is what I got.
So I had covid. I had it very light. Basically feeling bad just for a day. But oh my, oh my are the post results horrible.
I have been trying to recover from it.
24.03.2021 - I did a 4x4 aerobic power training - just awful. For 28 minutes I was not able to even run 4km
25.03.2021 - I tried to do a 30/30 power training. The first 10s of 30sec high tempo/ 30 sec lower tempo running were okay. However afterwards I managed to make 5 more only after a 3 min rest.
27.3.2021 - we had a game. They wanted to start me, but I said I am not able to make more than 20 mins. I had 15 mins play where I did slightly below average.
28.03.2021 Sunday - I had a very low tempo SSG. 60 mins game with friends, I was not able to run much.
29.03.2021 - I went out for a run. After 1.5 km I was not able to run moreā¦
30.03.2021 - in a couple of hours I have an SSG with friends, letās see how it will go.
