Yes you are a lat-o-saurus for sure! If I can just make them stick out another 8" on each side, we’ll be even

wut?
pic?
Liking the pics+vids in here, good work man. Good luck with your meet!
Damn dude,
pretty substantial improvement in 6 months.
were those wrist straps I saw in the DL vid? Cheater!
MiM should change her name to Pteridactyl (sp?), because she’s got super wings!
Thanks Trav, I’ll do my best
Racer, thanks bro, and no man…those are my…um…braclets. Hawt, right?
So, today I got to really have some fun. I thought doing DL’s with the reverse bands was fun…SQUATS WERE WICKED FUN! No, seriously, it was great having trainers and other gym folk looking like “wtf is he doing” as I’m climbing around the cage, rigging up my bands. I couldn’t get it set to not have any tension at all at the top, but I got it as close as I could. Hanging, the bands were about 3" above the bar, so whatever that does when strapped, so be it.
I had NO idea where to start, I knew 135 wouldn’t be enough, so I started with 185, but had to pull down on the bar practically to get deep enough. Live and learn…
185 x 10
225 x 8
275 x 5
315 x 5 (Most I’ve ever walked out, so that’s cool)
365 x 3 Vid
405 x 2 Vid (added belt)
*The feeling of having 130 more pounds on your back than your 1RM is insane. I am going to be a band whore now, but should I do at least 1 session (or at least add a raw session to a bend day) before the meet?
Front Squat
135 x 5 x 5
*Tried Chi’s way with my arms out in front, thought I was going to pass out from having the bar choke me to death. I’ll work on it
Leg Press
2pps x 10
3pps x 10
4pps x 10 (+1 pps, was pretty rough last couple reps)
Seated Leg Curls
3x12
Done
Didn’t almost fall down the stairs this time, so that’s improvement!
Okay all we need to do now is get the suits and we’ll be set. haha
Regarding the question, you should do more of the raw work since you are doing it raw. Maybe try pyramiding up for the next couple of weeks to set yourself up for a max day(ie the meet). Probably wouldn’t be a bad idea to incorporate some like bandwork for speed work though. Just my 2 cents
you know i came over here all the way from PW just to find out what LWI stands for. ha!
Good stuff Ink! Tearing it up!
Ink and HR - Do it, join the dark side of gearwhoredom
masch - let it be known that I(!) started the LWI craze with the original fateful uttering of the words “Lockout…WORK IT”
Thanks Herc, I think i’ll do that (pyramid) and it should pay off.
Masch, thanks for coming over, and yes…DIXIE is the one who first said Lockout…WORK IT. It was that phrase that inspired the thought of it being great on a t-shirt, and then only letting a few people wear them in our avatars to battle the BOI boys’ shirts. Then, all of the sudden, “LWI” is popping up on posts in other forums. It’s like the birth of a child, so beautiful!
haha
My back is sore from squats yesterday. That 405, where it got rough, really worked my back more than I thought it did. Not a painful soreness, just your average DOMS goodness.
DOOOOD!!
That looked AWESOME!!!
Thanks MiM! It was awesome. I was telling the guys who I went to the high school gym with about lifting with bands, and I’m going to show them the greatness on Thursday and have another squat day. As long as I survive DL’s and back training tonight!
Last night was a late one, but I still pushed it
Bench
Bar x Some
135 x 10
185 x 5
205 x 5
225 x 2 (Felt really heavy, not sure my head was in it)
Reverse Grip Bench (Should have just done a few sets of normal grip instead…)
135 x 10
145 x 8
155 x 4 (Felt a weird pain/twinge in left bicep. Not painful, but enough to let me know it was there)
Dips (Bought myself a fancy new dip belt!)
BW x 10
+25 x 8 (Little “annoyance” in left elbow/lower tricep)
+45 x 6
+70 x 1 (Elbow wasn’t right, played it safe and cut it short)
Hammer Strength Incline Press (Stack loaded)
50ps (per side) x 12
70ps x 12
90ps x 4 (The wear marks on the stack stopped at 70, meaning people don’t usually go over that towards the 150 max, so I just had to get a little into the “no-go” zone, just for fun)
Tricep Rope Pressdown
*Different machine than last time, this one just had the plates numbered every other plate: 2, 4, 6 etc.
#5 x 12 (50 pounds maybe?)
#7 x 12
#9 x 12
Straight bar pressdown
#8 x 12
#10 x 12
#11 x 8
Wood Chops (Thanks M.Major)
3 x 15 (Actually felt nautious, hope I’m doing them right!)
Cable Crunches
3 x 15
Done. Left with a huge pump in my tri’s, it was awesome.
Forgot to mention yesterday that I think I saw DF’s twin sister (looked like a hot female version of him, seriously) on the stair climber, and she was checking me out as I walked by. Guess it runs in the family ![]()

Dude…wut?
Just stopping by to say hello. I’m so jealous of the view from the squat rack at your gym. The places that I train at have mirrors in front of them. I think that the nature panoramic would make it easier for me to focus. Anyhow, nice work!
Dixie, come on bro, you know you think I’m hawt…just like your sister (meaning she does too, not that you think your sister’s hawt). But really, this chick looked like you if you were a girl. Kinda cute, no homo
Veggie, HI! Yeah, that one rack has a view of the back parking lot and the apartment complex behind the gym. It’s not the most beautiful thing to look at, but it beats squatting in the squat rack facing the mirror…that’s an ugly sight!
^youre really creeping me out.

Haha, chill dude, all I was saying is there was a chick that looked like she was your sister, and she checked me out. That’s all.
Carry on with your billion pound squats, Mr. Gearwhore

haha oh i know youre just messin bud
if i had tear ducts, i would tear up Mr. Gearwhore? awww…
Well, went in to the.gym tonight, although I was going to train at home; I needed to sign up for the Daddy Daughter dance on Friday! Oh yeah, gunna treat Ry like a princess for a few hours. Cute, I know ![]()
Busy, as usual, so I tried deadlifting on one of those platforms that keeps the.bar on pins that I can set at normal height. It didn’t go like I wanted it to, no chalk, smooth bars, vaginosis setting in…etc. oh god, the distractions were killing me too.
Deads
135x10
225x5
275x3
315x3 (heavy as shit)
Sumo
225x3x2
Bent over rows
135x10
165x8
185x5 (grip failed)
Meadows Rows
45x12
70x15
90x15
Rack pulls
Went shitty, dumped them after 225x3, low back smoked
Face pulls
4x15
Back extensions
4x20 (holy shit, low back pump had me walking like a frozen fish)
Done.
It sucks feeling weak in the commercial gym, compared to at home. Not sure what’s up with me, maybe I just need a deload week or something. Do I deload next week and hope it helps me ramp up to the meet, and still take a deload the week prior? Thoughts?
As to distractions, just focus and leave your own mind behind, and youll get better at ignoring the distractions.
