Well, it’s Veteran’s Day and I told work that I was taking the day off because “I earned it!”

Took last weeks “3” workout and added 5#s to the three work sets, so I’m on the same “week” as the other lifts I’m using 5/3/1 with.

*then went back down for more reps

135x10 *This was hard

One Arm DB OHP
Started with left arm, then to right, then back to left with the next lightest db, then again
40/30/25#s 10reps per arm, 2 sets
*This caused me to actually think my delts were on fire!

Lateral Raises

Rear laterals

Dips
BWx12x3sets

CGBP

185x5/6/5

Preacher Curls

Overall not a “hard” day but feel sufficiently worked.

Did 30 minutes on the treadmill, at a 5.5 for damn near the whole time. Seems I can run longer when I don’t out pace myself…no shit, right?

nah, haven’t been a huge wino lately, but i hurt my knee pretty badly on Sunday and figured wine + ibuprofen = knee doesn’t hurt.

Not as glamorous as four plates per side, but it’s 405. Had to stop and buy a couple 5 lb plates to add up last night. Looks cool though, right?

After running hills this morning, came home, and worked on my deadlifts.

I’ll give a full update with video to show how it turned out when I get home later.

Now I know that the 405 isn’t exactly “legal” but if you think I care…you’re sadly mistaken. I’ve been chasing this bitch for a while, and FINALLY got it. I noticed that if I don’t lift my head up, and keep it neutral, that it really helped everything stay tighter. Also, I placed a 3/4" thick board under my feet to ive myself a more stable surface than carpet, which also helped.

Then this morning I dug out my bodyfat calipers, that I haven’t used in ages. Last time I checked, I was 27%bf at a weight of 225. As of this morning, I weighed 211 and my bf is 18.5%. Still got a ways to go, but at least I can/will track and see continued progress here.
