Recently my Dr. told me I could go to twice a week injections. I usually inject in the leg. He uses 1 inch needles. Is this necessary?
I injected a B-12 shot with 1/2 inch needle and if I press down good it went into the muscle of my leg just fine. I am not super lean, but not fat either.
Plus, I have heard that if it goes into fat that it works fine anyway? Thoughts? Thanks!
I just injected Friday with a .5in 29g .5cc, went well, very slow. I at least did it myself. I had been reluctant to inject a 1.5in 23g needle in the past.
I use .5 inch 29 gage needle for both my T cyp. and for my B12 shots. I think it might be left over protocol from the West German Olympic committee to use a 1.5 ? 23 gage needle. Anyway you try and poke that it will injury you. I find the sweet spot to be under the skin but not deep into the muscle. I find the outside of my quads and my delts to work best.
This gives me four spot rotations for injection sights. The signs I look for are, if it hurt like a ?charley house 3 days after, the injection it was too deep. If you skin itches and becomes hot or warm to the touch around the injection, it was not deep enough. Sometimes the skin will bulge after the inject of T Ctp , it mainly oil so I think it just takes a day to dissipate.
I find B12 burns a bit if I am in the skin. I think it has alcohol in it.
The only trick to use a smaller gage needle is that it takes longer to load but trust me it will load. I load 30 ML in 29 gage and it take about two minutes but it well worth the time in how easy it is to get the needle in and how comfortable it is.
