Damn I feel like a hobo. The yolks of the eggs I buy are downright beige. I gotta upgrade to some better quality eggs.

I asked this in another egg thread - Do raw eggs have the same calorie count as cooked eggs?
Cooking yolks can destroy some of the health benefits. Uncooked whites have less bioavailable protein.
Solution = Sunny side up
Cooking apparently stops eggs from blocking absorption of B-12 (at least according to wikipedia…)
Once in a while my neighbor gives me duck eggs from his small farm (he has chickens too) Great tasting egg with that bright orange yolk you were talking about. Extremely tough shell though, I wouldn’t want to try and eat it!

Mostly let em scrounge. Also table scraps. They’re just as good as a pig in that regard. (Give them pretty much anything but egg or poultry products, cause they don’t seem to have much of a cannibalism inhibition. You don’t really want them to get the taste for eggs or each other… Also, real junky food can actually hurt them.)
If they’re not getting enough, usually during the winter, supplement them with layena or some other good quality feed and crushed oyster shells (calcium for the eggshells).
If you’re gonna do the whole free range thing, you gotta give them a pretty big area or rotate them. They’ll really tear up the land much faster than you’d think.

I eat around 20 a day fairly often (Hard boiled from my college cafeteria) and I’m still ticking…
In fact, it could be placebo but I’d say there’s an increase in test, probably from all the evil scary cholesterol.

I would deem excessive egg consumption “unhealthy” if you have high circulating levels of insulin due to excess carbohydrates in the diet.
Insulin will make the cholesterol a problem if the insulin is NOT under control. If you go on a very low carbs diet and use whole eggs as a staple most people blood work has gotten better in regard to cholesterol (hdl:ldl) and also triglycerides.
When the typical BB goes into the “mas building phase” and then eats tons of carbs + fats , thats when health becomes a concern.

I tend to just throw in 4-6 raw eggs into the blender for breakfast along with whatever else I’m having, it varies. I might have more eggs later if I fancy. 20 eggs a day seems like a crazy amount! Do the people having that much not get sick of them?

Hard boil them, chew them up a bit, and swallow it down with milk. You’ll hardly even taste those nasty slimy things.

So Matt, to avoid the problems you mentioned, what type of macro breakdown do you find best for mass building?

I think the biggest problem is eating high fat at the same time as high carb. So as long as you separate your carb based meals from fat based meals you should be alright… I think.
Hey just to be clear, all the protein is in the Egg white right. The yoke contains like 1g or less of the protein right fellas.

No.
Nearly half the protein is in the yolk.
When you hear about egg’s amazing amino acid profile, it’s the profile including the yolk. Egg white protein is O K, yolk is better.
Just as with most foods, eggs taste much better cooked in the oven. I will take some pics soon and give instructions.
