Do I not need to wait 6 weeks?
If you can that would be best. But if your symptoms get worse you should back down.
Just quick lab. Check total t. Free t. Estradiol. And CBC. You don’t want to do the complete CBC then just check hemoglobin and hct
Also your free t fluctuations are small because you are injecting two times a week. So that’s why your free testosterone reading was very good.
Don’t worry man it’s nothing that you can’t fix.
Reminder for everyone that we’re just here give advice based on limited information we know about guys in here. Hopefully based on our own personal experience.
And I appreciate it. I’m not completely ignorant to this as I have a semi medical education just on this topic I think the experience of you all is paramount. I would definitely like to stay at lowest possible dose that achieves positive results with fewest side effects.
And in the future don’t hesitate to give your honest opinion (re staying at 100) I wouldn’t have dismissed you! Thanks again
Once your dialed in. Stable after months of feeling good on same dose. You can throw in a 60 mg injection every once in a while. I do that now. Instead of injecting 50 I do 60.
Actually may stop doing that as well because every time I mess with my dose I also got heart paps and zits
I feel dumb saying this but if it wasn’t for the unrational fear that the heart palps I’m going to drop dead it wouldn’t be so bad
I would check pregnenalone and/or DHEA levels. Like you, I had a great run the first 4-10weeks with TRT then I started feeling reallly anxious. I didn’t understand why because I had not changed anything on my protocol. The reason for this is because TRT affects other hormones like pregnenalone/DHEA after a period of time. I just introduced HCG and pregnenalone to my protocol in order back fill the hormones that were shutdown, I would post the results in 2-4weeks.
You can read more about it here,
I get the same thing every time I change protocols. Exactly what you describe. I get: anxious, depressed, irritable, wanting to crawl out of my skin (literally use these same words), these symptoms all come and go. For guys like us a 20mg increase at a time is going to be too much. I’d step it back down if I were you. If you want to get to that dosage take it slow.
As systemlord said, it takes 6-8 weeks for blood levels to stabilize. This is “normal” and you’ll likely feel better in 3-4 weeks.
Good to know I’m not alone! Usually sort out in a few weeks for you?
Ouch first mistake. This site is full of T junkies. We are in the T replacement (TRT) forum
The blood you posted of TT at 24.5 (8-28.8) FT 570 (196-636) was flipping perfect to be at year round.
Just go back to 100 and be careful who you take advice from.
Can you ask your PCP for something to take for your anxiety?
If you were still not feeling well at 100mg its time to look a other things like a full thyroid panel, cortisol, adrenal gland fatigue.
Your diet and exersize program.
Don’t worry man . I was worried about this to. Then I realized people don’t die from trt they die from abuse and not paying attention to their health: uneducated self therapy.
We both have to keep it in perspective. We both think the worst is happening and need actually real knowledge to beat that fear Into submission.
Here’s what I hear and think. We’re staying within range and even if you go 5% or 10% above high normal you’ll be fine. You just don’t want to sit at those levels for a year. That’s when (I believe) people start having issues with blood, other problems.
My fears dissapeared when I read what body builders were suggesting and taking. One guy said he was going to start at 500 A week. Many guys stayed that’s a baby dose and will not help them achieve the gains they are looking for. They suggested a min of 800 or 1k. Then I saw Many are at 1k a week and they add other anabolics on top. That’s where I’d be worried but they don’t seem to be.
After seeing these types of dosages I quickly relaxed and calmed the f down ![]()
Thanks man. A lot of what I’ve been reading wants free t at 20-25. Mine was at 16 so that seems a bit off especially seeing as my labs were done at peak
Lol. I know. In comparison it’s really minuscule
The blood test you posted said FT 570 (196-636) Eash of us have to experiment to see how we feel at different levels. I believe you have found your top level for now. As you get healther you can try a little higher dose just to see if its better. but 100 to 120 might be too big a jump 100 to 110 might be better. As you increase your T dose you have to really watch your E2 prolactin, HCT. A blood pressure cuff is a cheap tool to have. Best of luck to you.
In a pinch if you don’t have a problem with whiskey it can hep you thru an anxiety attack if a benzo is not handy. I know it sounds like bad thing but it might save you a trip to the emergency room.
570 pmol which o believe converts to 16.4 pgml with target between 20-25 for optimization. Oh I have no problem with whiskey ;).
Yah I hear yah. Just hang in there. If you do change stick with it.
It sucks your not feeling much better since starting. I haven’t either. Check my post out . I just listed out what my doc thinks and what he suggested.
Oh my, you need to make a note to never take advice from that guy again.
The old Lab Corp range for Free T is 6.6 - 18.1 pg/mL
If you by the new more accurate LabCorp Total Testosterone, F Eqlib+T LC/MSTestosterone, Total, LC/MS the Free T range 5.00 - 21.00 ng/dL
I don’t know who came up with “Free T 20-25 is optimization” Thats about a bro-science-e as you can get.
If you are using T for recreational purposes then you don’t care how out of range you go but for TRT you must stay in range or you will develop bad side effects in time.
What I am trying to say is the range of your test make a difference and you can’t just convert one numbers and apply it to anothers ranges. the range is everything.
Free T is age dependant, but the range for men in their 20’s caps at 25 pg/mL Labcorp. It just so happens Dr. Saya like to see his patients Free T 21 pg/mL or higher, the reason is because this is where he’s sees the majority see symptom relief. The optimal range is fact in the same way it’s best to have TSH <2.5 or Free T3 midrange or slightly better. This isn’t bro science, it’s a statistical fact.
More on statistics, men with high normal Free T have the least cardiac events compared to those in the middle and lower ranges. So according to the statistics, higher is optimal for the majority.
Very curious about this now that I’m in this for life.
What about the symptoms of higher t in A man who is older, wouldn’t he naturally have lower levels and that is Because the body is old and probably cannot keep ticking away at such high levels.
So many folks talk about Hct going higher with a higher free t and thus keep it a little lower. Sure I bet it feels fantastic but if your not 20 something then it’s not something the body can handle is it? Unless you have great genetics.
I’d love to be able to run high levels into 60…
I’m not talking about supraphysiological levels here, high normal levels we all have had at one point in our life. I don’t consider myself old.
Men with high normal testosterone level longer regardless of age.
