So, you’re not into that tasty mix of very emotional singing, more metal style, mixed with melodic guits?
Alright. YOu seem to like the more radio stationed metal.
So in that case, you’ll like Chevelle, it’s not death singing and you may want to check out a band called Hedley. They have a decent song on the radio station here in TO.
Did I see Deftones on there anywhere?
You should like disturbed…taproot, that vein.
Sorry you didn’t like the Fists?!
Oh well to each his own. You might enjoy some older harder punk rock man. Did you check out the bands I suggested? Also check out ignite, the newer the better. You might also like godspeed you black emperor, it’s progressive and pretty good once you get into it.
Try Apocalyptica. On their second album, Inquisition Symphony, they did covers of Metallica, Sepultura, Pantera, and Faith No More, along with 3 of their own compositions. It rocks more than you think it would.
Their first album is all Metallica covers. On their third album, Cult, there’s some pretty rocking songs, Struggle, Pray! and Hyperventilation and also the Metallica cover, Fight Fire with Fire.
i got a coupla tracks from the resident evil soundtrack and are very cool. ive got a dreamtheater song and a coupla taproot songs and i like them enough to get more.
P.S. in no way am i saying that the music i choose to not listen to while i sit at my PC or drive is bad. i realize how tastes change (i used to think 2L sucked!?!?!), but the way i select music to listen to that ive downloaded is by listening to a few seconds of a few parts of the track. from experience, i know i miss some good stuff by doing this, but ive also gotten into a bunch of great stuff by doing this. under the right circumstances i may learn to love the fists
I’ve got another group to try: Living Colour. Their first few albums rock, especially the first. “Vivid” won a grammy the year it was released for new music. It is definitely a favorite of mine.
