Well, I think that is the greatest feat of strength I’ve ever seen a woman perform. I found that she had a Youtube channel and subscribed to it in the hopes of being a tiny bit of help in getting her more recognition.
So for those that do not understand rugby - it’s a game of domination.
If you physically dominant you opposition you win. This weekend I had this writen about me. Happy with that.
The Swans only try was scored by the ‘Whirling Dervish’, Carl…darting, spinning, shouting, supporting, for 80 minutes. Must surely in a previous life have been a ‘Berserker’ (dictionary definition: ‘Ancient Scandinavian Warriors who fought with wild and uncontrollable fury, frenzied in battle and felt themselves to be invulnerable, howled like wild beasts, foamed at the mouth and gnawed the rims of their shields’)
Oh hell yeah
100 burpees. @ChongLordUno
I will add these are not burpees like normal where you do a press up. They are MMA burpees where the focus was in the sprawl and getting your hips low asap. To avoid a wrestling takedown.
I had planned on more press ups but after a quick warm up my shoulder was barely holding on. I’m just happy to get the work in.
Yeah I can see it more and more each week. It’s nice to see the fruits of my labour.
Absolutely brutal my man
Defo see the upper body majesty starting to reveal thy self
Did Grave with a strong man log. Mistake. Its hard. Not sure of the time. My son moved the phone about rep 6. As the heavens opened. I finished. But he retired.
Wimp.
@T3hPwnisher any idea on a bench mark time for this? Under 4mins is “good” for a bar bell. I’m doing these viper press. trying to get the same.
Sub 4 with Vipers is a good goal for sure.
I timed viper press grace and got 3:30. I though I would be about 4:30. It’s strange how time flies slowly when you’re working hard.
The main issue was shoulder strength. I’m keeping the press strick. No push press. This made the top rough.
Still 3.30 is a good time. I’m “happy enough”. I will be working on doing 4 sets of “as many in 60 seconds” to get used to the pace. Then 2x120 seconds and then try again. I want the magic 3 mins.
Good day at the office.
Also did some band work
As a general note:
No squat this week. Lots of stuff at home needed doing. So quicker work outs. With no rugby after Saturday I’m free to squat as much as I like Saturdays. I will just run last week again next week.
Talking of rugby, a few of the players are gonna start coming to mine Sunday PM. They wanna get I shape. Let’s see…
Good stuff dude! Thats a 60kg log?
Thank dude. Im gonna push for sub 3 this summer. Why not. I got it in there. I just got to get it done.
The log is 58.5kg. So as close as. I call it 60 to avoid having to buy micro plates.
The smallest plates I have are 2.5.
That’s awesome dude! That’s crazy dense, haha. And yeah: these challenges are good for us. I usually get one going for about 6-8 weeks before something new and shiny shows up.
Thanks. I will say this - when my son checked Grace times and 3-4 mins is regarded as “advanced athlete”. He was very proud. If I go sub 3 / elite athlete time he’ll be very happy.
100% there. I’ve fallen into this since December. Just long enough to make progress. But not so long it gets boring.
I’m trying to retain 2 pure strength days still. 1 upper 1 lower body. But then 3-4 challenge days. High intensity brutal stuff. So far 240 rep sand bag workouts and 100 burpees are working just fine.
I think I might invent “fat grace”. 90/100kg log 30 times.
Both work. 90kg is about 200lb. But 100kg is 2 plates.
I’m going to wait till bulking season for that. I can’t get that strong and diet down.
Its there, haha.

Although they are a bit more polite
I did search for “fat grace” as well, and got nothing. Just double grace - also a bad idea I plan on trying.
I guess my rudeness caught me out.
So I will be doing a 240 rep work out later today. Or
80kg squat x 10
Press up x 10
Band pull a parts / rear flies x 10
Sets in 7-10 mins.
Edit - no exercise today. I tried but my wrist is fucked and focus is on rugby. So I did not want to risk aggravating an injury.
Other than that - weighed in at 108.5kg today. Which is great news. I’m down 7-8kg. I say 7-8 I could weigh anywhere between 115 and 116 at my peak weight. I’m really noticing it as well. The mid rift is much smaller and I look great (compared)
So rugby today. Odd game. I didn’t feel like I was in it much. But it was an easy win. 50-20. So I didn’t need to bust a gut to get the result.
At the pub now. Not drinking. This is hard. This is my drinking pub. From my teenage years.
But staying sober
Good win and good on you for not drinking. well done mate
Thank you. It was an odd old game. I tend to play worse against worse opposition. I tend to step up if / when needed. But we had control the WHOLE game. So I could get away with going for a slow jog between phases. Rather than last week when I was full on sprinting.
As for not drinking - Lent is getting hard work. Last night was tough. But I’m dropping weigh so I will carry on. I can not wait until Easter. And then I have 2 weeks off script. The back on it for 6 weeks. At 108kg now - I’m hopping to be 106/107 for easter and then sub 100kg on the 10th of June (the end of the next 6 week block.
I’ve not been sub 100kg for YEARS. Possibly decades. I’m looking forward to it so much.
108kg 3 days in a row. Looking good for 106 before Easter.
You skinny old git you. ![]()
