I think we all have this problem, to get the bar an effective front rack position it is basically asphyxiating me from the unrack. I can get as many reps as I had oxygen before I unracked and after that it is game over.
I wish I was that disciplined. I’m hoping this Lent will give me a bit of that. Here is hoping.
Yeah it’s just part of the lift. I don’t think it’s one of those things you can “fix”. You just have to get stronger. Like when people say they need to get stronger at the bottom of their squat. No - you need to get a stronger squat full stop.
Wow - totally exhausted today. The last 5 days have seen 3 balls to the wall workouts and 1 making up the numbers.

I am on the border with Russia…if they get away with this we are next in line and 10 times easier target. If this continues like that im thinking of finding ways to go and join some civil forces in Ukraine as i dont think no one will give a shit about them which means no one will about us when we are next in line.

Im not that close to Ukraine but i am on the same side and on the same border and Russian politics have always been simmilar towards my country and other ones on this border also, just like Ukraine.
Its actually weird how they picked the strongest country to attack. It has been discussed that Russia needs only 24 hours to completely go through my whole country from one end to another. Driving across the whole country takes 3 hours if driving respecting speed limits, haha.
What is happening now is Russia is just spitting on peace and modern way of life of this continent.
What sucks is that whole world continues to buy their stuff - each country has something they wont give up that they buy from Russia so in a way all Europe is funding Russian military. It looks like no one gives a shit for now, so if this shit continues in Ukraine, my place is next. Even if they want Poland or smth better they still have to go through us. We are basically a small line of countries in Putins way to Europe.

I do EMOMs. 7 got 10. But I did double pumps for the first 2 sets and regretted it. And then the last set I did 10 burpees.

So a rest day Monday. Too little in the tank and REALLY under recovered. I had 0 left. With a lot of muscle soreness.
I’m also down some more weight. For the last 2 days I’ve been down from high 113kg to 113kg on the dot. 112 is with in reach this week.
Lent prep is going well. I have Pancake mix ready to go and for after I went to the frozen food ship and went nuts. I have a whole host of meat in the freezer. No excuses now. It is almost upon us!
Today will be leg day. 140kg front squats. Week 1 calls for 3 sets. As 140kg is my 5/6 rep max I think 3x3 is a good shout. With a 3x5 at 110kg and then back squats 1x20 at 110kg.

Need to change this. I left my lifting belt at work. I tried to do front squats but failed 140kg. To be fair my heart was not in it.
Gonna do burpees / sand bag dead lift. Also I’m starving hungry and dead tired. My sleep has not returned to night working yet. I only got 5.5h last night.

Hey @T3hPwnisher I brought Brawn (3rd edition). I’m slowly getting through it. I will admit its not what expected. Its lots of how to make your own plans and not a lot of “here is what to do”. I’m quite liking it. And ironically I’m doing a lot of what it talks about. But I just wanted to say thanks - it was a good shout to buy it.
Outstanding dude! The edition I had eventually had some programs in it built around the breathing squat, but for the most part it’s as you described: how to make the most with what you are. I got a lot of decent technique advice from there. WAY too much talk about PEDs, but he had a drum to beat.
Every other line is “You are not genetically gifted or on drugs. Do not train like you are”. Which I get. But it does become boring.
There might be some. But I’m only 23% of the way through the book (the joys of kindal). For now its kind of validating my training approach.
100% given to just a few exercises. Each muscle group hard once a week - which is what the book promotes.
Then a little something every day in the form of daily work or conditioning. Which I think will help.
I think this plan will see me through the next few months. And the I can look at another mass gain period.
