Is importing gear even worth it? i’m thinking about ordering in my 1st cycle from a well known (supposedly UK brand) , and want to know if it has a big chance of getting seized. Or should I just find a better source?

You have to work with what you have, you cant magically find a source down the road from you!
Research this source and decide if its worth the risk.

importing human grade is better than using local bathtub gear in my opinion
There are pros and cons, comes down to how badly you want it. Also, there are ways of handling the delivery aspect that can mitigate your chances of being prosecuted. If it is seized just write it off. Really, unless they come busting down your door after you’ve opened the package your fine. Right now local le is more concerned about other things.
That’s not to say that if it is brought to their attention they won’t act upon it…they will, but personal use of gear from overseas isn’t that huge of a deal imo.
