i got some l-tyrosine as well. i’m probably gonna take 1.5 grams of it and down it with half a bottle of an energy drink (around 125mg caffeine) before a track meet. probably take it with some beef jerky too. i guess this is the way of replicating the DeFranco bar teh best i could. thoughts?

I was under the impression that it’s best if taken on an empty stomach. Although, on mine it said to take it with a meal.

… Yeah except for the NO Xplode. I have trouble trusting a product that contains substances that don’t exist… That and the heart palpitations. And the price.
Note that all are nutritional in nature. I don’t generally believe in herbs.
L-Tyrosine should be taken 4 or 5 grams (a teaspoon) on an empty stomach. The best time for this is first thing in the morning.
Taking l-tyrosine on an empty stomach helps it to cross the blood-brain barrier, that it be synthesized into the catecholamines: dopamine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine.
It is a wonder supplement for people who have naturally lower levels of these neurotransmitters. I would not recommend it to anyone of a predominantly sanguine temperament.
