I'm Not Surprised....Bill O'Reilly

I don’t see the problem with what he said. If they don’t want to support the military why should the military protect them?

Maybe because it’s their job.

And when all the schools in the country make it illegal for recruiters go into the schools there won’t be anyone to work that job.

All he said is if you don’t want to support the military they should not support you. I think that is a fair statement and certainly not the big deal everyone is making it out to be. I’m far from an O’reilly fan and I generally don’t like or watch his show. I also don’t think this has anything to do with political partys, it is about our country.

Who cares?

He is just making money and he is on Faux News Channel.

That should tell you something.

I have more of a problem with “how” O’Riely speaks than what he acutally says. He comes off as arrogant and obnoxious.

He claims he’s not conservative yet embraces just about every conservative issue (but one or two) there is. That I feel makes him disingenuous as well.

There you have it: Obnoxious and disingenuous.

Other than that…he’s okay

Being Australian, it sounds strange to me to hear that there are recruiters for any organisation allowed into schools. There weren’t any military recruiters at my school and a bunch of us still got off our arses and signed up.

The military shouldn’t support those who don’t support it? Well, I am under the understanding that the militaries of democracies are usually apolitical organisations. While they can give advice to politicians, even space-cadet type decisions such as this would ultimately be a political one. Maybe it’s something that can be addressed in a state of the union speech or something? “So… we’ve uh, decided to let a few states fend for themselves. You’re either with us, or against us!”

On a personal bias note: the freedom that defence forces defend is the same freedom to disagree with their actions.

I am rather in favour of the draft. It makes politicians think, and loudmouths shut up…

I see that you have continued your streak of nasty posts. You are nothing if not consistent.

I think Donahue did a damn good job in that confrontation. Billow Lielly (LOL!) looked like a tired Jack Nicholson’s Nathan Jessup (A Few Good Men) having his words fed back to him.

“Your nephew is not your kid.” Classic.

Phil Donahue is just as big a phony as O’Reilly.

I think these talking heads are leading the decline of western civilization.

Yes, I have served in the military.

Yes, I have been to Iraq.

No, I do not support the draft. I don’t want to fight next to a bunch of kids that never wanted to join the military.

I believe I have earned the right to feel the way I do. I have seen what liberals have done to this country and this world, first hand. Its not pretty, in my opinion

If a region or city doesn’t support the military, then why should the military protect them? You know, back in the old days before this country became soft, the leaders would have told those people they would have to fend for themselves. But now no one has the balls to stand up to these idiots. Why? Because the majority of the country is stupid and lazy now. No one wants to fight for the good things. They only want to complain about the bad. Well, you cant have one without the other. Sorry.

We should divide the country in half. Democrats can move Northwest, Conservatives can move Southeast. In 10 years we’ll see who is doing better.

Wow, I’m surprised you actually think that…LOL…not really. Most who lean liberal thought Donahue won that little debate.

Sort of like the Presidential debates, you want your guy to win.

No news here.

What exactly have the “liberals” done to this country and to this world? Have they widened the gap between the rich and the poor? how about blowing a hole in the possibility of universal health care? What about starting a pointless war?

That was the “liberals”, right?

The liberals allowed Bush to be elected twice in a row…

I think they deserve a bit of abuse, don’t you?

Bill o’reilly is a fucking douche bag.
