This is truly mind blowing.
I find it ammusing when people comment on this type of thing in the manner that anyone who does believe in this must be a fool and not educated. I have been in the middle of many discussions on here about the existince of secret societies and the like so thats the last thing I want to do again, but I will say this. The Rothschilds are the richest most powerful family on the planet that most people have never of and when ever Illuminati talks come up they come up too.
So the question was asked if it would be possible to control the world. Well for starters who said the “WHOLE” world would need to be controlled. All that would need to be controlled would be Media, Consumerism, drugs, war and money. I believe the rest would take care of itself. The Media is the imaginary Veil getting pulled over our eyes.
Look at what Diamonds alone have done in Africa. Darfur and Rwanda are genocidal playgrounds for the rulers of the diamonds, thats consumerism and materialism right there controlling those parts of the world.

Just call me the modern day Dante Alighieri or Lewis Carrol.
I think Illuminati is a Ficticious Fact… :),
Its a fact, but its clandestine… only to the very few, who are the ruling elites who are its members… if u look at it you would find a 1000 examples where it should open the eyes. why have there been free masons and masonic lodges all over the world since a few 100 years, why have most of the ruling elites got their portraits made with a specific Hand position (depicting free masonry) what is the Bohemian Groove in todays times and who are its members.
its kind of interesting and if one has some interest in these things then its quite shocking as well…
Infact the 9/11 is also linked to the illuminati and freemasons…
I quickly read this thread and came away with the following:
-
forlife is gay, and is widely known to post anti-Christianity posts on unrelated topics in order to incite a response and then claims he does not.
-
jre672 would like us to know that he knows things about forlife and possible others on this forum that they don’t want us to know.
-
doubleduce and maximus among others are outraged.
-
The illuminati probably exist but probably don’t exert as much influence as pop culture portrays.
I would like to learn more about that 2 and 4.
Did I mention that Jewbacca’s posts are often hilarious?

Everyone know that the illuminati is just a myth created by teh Joos to take the heat of themselves.
Fun fact - Did you know that teh Joos actually sank the titanic?
Oh, shit we’re used to it, I suppose. “Chosen people” does not mean “better.” It means “chosen” – chosen to be fucked so badly by this world we have no where to turn but G-d.
In Eqypt yesterday al-quada (or Hamas or some muslim terroist group) blew up a Coptic Christian Church at the end of a mini-series on TV about evil Chrisitans were. Somehow, muslims killing Christians is the fault of Jews, according to the state run newspaper.
Shark attacks German tourist in Eqypt? Trained Mossad sharks did it. Seriously, so said the ministry of tourism.
A vulture with a tracking tag on it (to study migration) – found in Saudi somewhere, on its normal migratory route? That’s a Jewish spy, so they killed the bird.
So, yeah, we sank the Titanic.
We also flooded Australia, made the dams break in NO, and can cause earthquakes.
George Bush? Burning Bush? Moses? Jewish plot!
Wait…I am curious how did the Joos cause the Copt Church and those inside to blow up?
Yeah, I couldn’t figure it out, either. You had: (1) Egypt TV doing one of its “Christians-are-bad” weeks (bit like Shark Week on Discovery, but with evil Christians) and (2) at the height of the week, some muslims, conntected with known terrorists, went in and blew up a bunch of Christians.
The only logical explaination in Eqypt was, of course, that the Jooooos are at fault.
Dry? Joooos fault.
Wet? Joooos fault.
All I know is, if my Tribe was actually as powerful as the world thinks, the Mets would win the World Series every year.
Also, we’d program Mel Gibson to implode, become a raging drunk, divorce his lovely wife and get some skank Russian whore who will take all his money pregnant, and record bizarre violent rants on tape, all on his road to complete self-destruction.
Hmmmmmm.
So…we agree, Mel Gibson is an asshole.
No, not Braveheart, no.
The Illuminati is certainly a possibility, im not quite sold on the whole Freemasons secretly control world governments with an iron fist. But i certainly believe super rich individuals like George Soros manipulate economies, governments, and local populations by funding media initiatives,AstroTurf organizations, etc… for there own benefit.
I would find it harder to believe that when you got to the top of our global power tier that the order dissolved… My money is on their being a tip to this iceberg of world power. Call 'em Illuminati, Zionists, or Bohemian Grove Moloch worshipers - a rose by any other name…
They most likely are there; whoever they are and wherever that places them.
I don’t think anybody needs to fear them though. The first step in complete globalization and control would be a universal currency. That isn’t starting to happen anywhe… FUCK I forgot about that goddamn Euro… Well Europe is small anyway. No need to worry I’m sure.

I do see and agree with the comparison between Jesus and the Illuminati in the way you have stated it being intentioned, but I also see that you do post a lot about Jesus ![]()

Here is the real question, what would you have in place of what we currently have? Society no matter how big, small, advanced, or primitive require compliance by it’s members. It is trully astonishing that we all agreed to participate in this social system on a daily bases with the level of submission we must have from each member to make it work. I agree that for most this is accomplished subcounsciouly simply because it is all we know.
You can probably trace everything back to the establishment of the first human language and ever since that was developed we have used words and our ideas to shape/manipulate our societies.
It is like that movie the Invention of Lying.
The whole secret societies thing interests me, but only to a point. The larger the group, the more individualism and general skullduggery will ensue.
The idea that I find dubious about secret societies is that they are capable of pulling off these elaborate plots that must span multiple generations, with Swiss Clock precision, and no one buggers the plan or betrays the plot out of sheer incompetence, or for personal interest.
You could make the argument that they only pool the ‘best’ for membership, but then you wind up with elitist glory hounds and backstabbers.
We have had Free Masons in Ireland since well a VERY long time - some records date back pre 1650’s
We don’t believe in mass religion per say - prefer ideas preserved or understood by a small group or those admitted, or of rare or unusual interest.
Would the World benefit from more Masonic teachings - I would say yes - You will never be asked to expand on, or explain whom you believe to be your Supreme Being. The discussion of politics and religion is forbidden within a Masonic Lodge to prevent having to justify his personal interpretation.
Given the vitriol & hatred mainstream religion seem to invoke in people perhaps a return to a quiet reflection by yourself would be preferable, certainly the world would thank us.
Only as recent as 1983 (Date of my Birth) the Roman Catholic Church declared us persona non grata so to speak - As a quote of reference of said text;
Much like any organisation who try to stay secret - folklore and stories abound - such is the nature of the human mind - if you are not supplied with information - then you will make it up.
I think your recent Scientology religion would point towards that. While I don’t particularly agree with their way of trying to preserve their secrecy, they will do what they deem necessary. However given the age in which we live, such secrecy will only draw down more questions.
Not so long ago a Lodge was opened in Scotland to a TV crew - I cannot confirm which TV station it was - to allow them see an initiation in an attempt to downplay the interest provoked by Dan Browns Books. It somewhat succeeded to a point.
To return to the original question - do the Illuminati did exist - Then the answer is yes such an organisation existed at one stage under the guise of that name. Are they who Mr Brown’s books portray them to be ?
Unfortunately for the storytellers and folklore lovers - No they are not.
If you should ask did a society ever exist of which scientists amalgamated during the trying times for Science back then - I would have to wager Yes - However as the saying goes - The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was getting the world to believe he didn’t exist.
Regards.

This is rather pain full to be fair.
Such elitism has no place in my above related post.
Again while one can freely talk about what, which, why, when, how such Societies act to associate Elitism is a bit of a stretch. Most cases such membership is passed from father to son - given the genetic pre-disposition what a father is - is not a guarantee the son will follow - so such elitism would be impossible to continue un-abated.
As a follow on what would you hold as the “Best” ? What would you base it on ? Humans are such a diverse & complicated specimen what I would consider “best” may be completely at odds with other people’s view.
Of course, some Society’s are just plain off the wall - so I cannot talk about them.
Regards.

I thought ‘Skull and Bones’ is rumored to operate in Ivy League institutions and recruit from therein. Wasn’t the OSS that later formed the foundation of the CIA rumored to have taken it’s membership from the Skull and Bones?
Or maybe I just watch too many movies.
