If You Get the Urge to Behead Someone

all you have to do is claim craziness…I can’t believe they actually found him not criminally responsible

http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/090305/national/crime_bus_beheading_14

…and before someone says it, yes I realize he has mental issues…I also think he should be locked in a cage for the rest of his natural life

Regardless of what you feel that isn’t how our legal system works. The verdict was legal and correct.

This topic really belongs in the politics forum…

Our legal system is fucked. This is why people should all carry a gun, Someone starts chopping into another persons neck, you shoot the motherfucker, and possibly save a non-crazy persons life.

Who fucking cares if he is crazy or not, If a wolf is eating my sheep, I don’t really give a fuck if he is really hungry because he is a crappy hunter, eat my sheep and your gonna get shot.

The reason he Chopped a persons head off is only relavant if he was defending himself from the guy, he wasn’t so he dies or goes to jail, it’s a simple concept.

Actually he was defending himself. God told him this man was going to kill him if he did not cut off his head. :stuck_out_tongue:

Mhmmmm, Well god is telling me to… Oh nevermind, just know that it had to do with doing something to a part of you that is just out of view in your pic there. ;p

V

Ha! Well come on over to Canada and that might work for you

Who says he won’t be?

I feel sorry for him. Living in the world that he perceives would be hell on earth.

Even further reason to put him down, like a dog with rabies.

I don’t disagree with that. Li asked the police to kill him. But I still agree with the judge’s decision that he shouldn’t be in prison.

Do you really think that he can claim insanity and they just let him go?

Instead of serving life in prison he will goto a mental hospital. I bet he will spend more time there then he would if he went to prison.

Prison, no. An institution for the criminally insane for the foreseeable future? Definitely.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I read that they may actually let him go after 6 months of mental evaluation.

This guy cut off someone’s head, gutted him, yanked out his intestines, held them up to a crowd of terrified onlookers and proceeded to EAT them.

Intent or not, someone who does this should never be in contact with the general public the rest of his life.

Agree.

Oh wow. I already forgot about this one. I remember when this story broke, the local mornign news show had a field day with it. Lots of jokes about Greyhound bus and shit.

Anyway, obligatory “I’m disgusted with the judicial system” comment.

Decision is correct, however I think humanely put him down.

Good thing he didn’t have a gun himself. Could have been a busload of death. Or a bomb. Or a truck.

Shit like this happens. A lot. I’ve seen it a lot. Like people who go nuts and just push someone in front of an arriving train.

The worst is when the mad person gets over it, goes back to normal, realises what they have done. Terrible.

You can’t identify, prevent, stop it all. Stay on guard.

The world he perceives is his reality. Just like your reality is the world you perceive. Feel sorry for him? Hell no! I would like a couple of scoops of my world my way. Do what must be done because I feel it must be done. Damn society, damn the courts, and damn the police. Could you for one second imagine how liberating that would be?

Now since I am a man that’s afraid of forced anal prison sex for “Bubba,” the 300# bull queer third grade drop-out who’s father didn’t pay enough attention to when he was growing up…I’ll obey the law and weep for the ones that break it. Insane or not.

There is no “treating” someone who attacks an innocent, stabs them to death, beheads them, and then eats parts of the body.

I agree, put him down. This relativist morality is bullshit and is only going to get more innocent people hurt because someone tried to protect the “rights” of the guilty.

If that was my son who had his head chopped off…Vince Li would have never even made it to trial…

For real, fuck you liberals who think this guy should get anything other than an immediate yet slow and painful death.

Deb, I doubt you would have such a liberal perspective on this if it was your son or brother who had been beheaded, dismembered and eaten.

What is so ‘liberal’ about that? It is a fact of the case and I was dead serious. I think you just don’t like my opinion on the verdict.

At any rate, I don’t believe mine or your emotions have any relevance on the fact that this man was a lunatic. And according to the law, this man cannot be held criminally responsible when he was in this state. You would be hard pressed to find anyone to declare this man as sane.
