No, in that case, Joe Lieberman gets the nomination. After McCain, he’s the one most likely to carry on the Bush legacy 
Paul won’t get more than 5% of the vote regardless. The Republicans went out of their way to ignore him, and he didn’t help out much by making himself out to be the “Anti-War Republican”. Republicans still support the war for the most part. Apparently they also support the whole big-government neocon platform to a tee. I’d say that Ron Paul doesn’t qualify as a Republican any more. And neither do I. The party has convinced itself that it doesn’t need the votes of real conservatives any longer, and I for one hope they don’t get them.

I’d still vote him over Obama or Billary.

Actually Ron Paul has every right to call himself a Republican. The traditional republican party promoted smaller federal government and liberty. The current Republican party has moved away from its traditional roots and this new party’s supporters have no right to be called Republican.
Romney is rich enough he could jump start a campaign.

He should. In the sense of being a real Republican, he’s the only one. The rest are infected with the worship of Big Nanny Government, trying to outdo the Dems.
I think the real question is how long could he possibly live after the election? Did you see that report on his medical records? I absolutely respect his service and the trials that guy has been through but Jeezus man, he is a ticking time bomb and sorry but I don’t wanta prez on meds that can alter their decision-making capabilities.

In the post-marketing period, the following additional rare, but potentially severe adverse events have been reported: aggressive reaction, anaphylaxis, cholestasis, convulsions, glomerulonephritis, hallucinations, hemolytic anemia, hepatitis, orofacial dyskinesia, severe hypotension, stillbirth, suicidal ideation, suicide and thrombocytopenia.”
Seems the Republican party as an entity is shuffling to the Left as fast as they possibly can. I say we rename them Democrats, and the Democrats can rename themselves Socialists. At least that will leave some room for another group of truly liberty-minded individuals to take up the “Republican” mantle.
