G. Prone Plank - 2 x 1 min

Great session - really enjoyable.
My shoulder/chest area was still a little tender from the BW blitz - something I’ll have to take note of during the heavier phases. Thankfully it didn’t deter me - form is improving, control esp. It’s amazing when you’re not feeling 100% that you can shrug it off and have a really good day.
Will do the side planks later on in the week, my shoulder’s were being annoying.

Thought I would attach some progress pics…

Tues 19/04/11

Well it’s my birthday today - I felt miserable this morning.

But I have to push that negative stuff out… thankfully it went away the moment I started training.

G. EZ Preacher Curl - 8 reps: 3 sec negs.
1 @ 75
1 @ 100
Dropped to 75 partials - 5/5

Good session - squats went well. Tried the front squats with wrist straps - felt good on the shoulders, will prob keep doing them this way.
Lost MMC on the RDL’s - should have added a few more feeler sets for the hams.

Looking pretty big and decently lean, bud.

How are you liking this program so far?

but more importantly . . .

HAPPY BIRTDHAY!

Thanks man - slowly getting there
Have you started the BJ Whitehead program? Is it going well?

Yes! Today will be day 3 of week 1. The first week of workouts looked so easy on paper, but the first two days have totally kicked my ass! My chest has been sore since sunday and sitting down is such a pain right now lol. Josh Bryant is a mad man

Awesome! Hahaha - yeh it’s intense.
The first two days have become my fav’s - so much fun

You’re crazy - I didn’t think it looked easy at all!

Going on hiatus for a bit - a friend needs help.
(Still training though)

See you in a few weeks, if not sooner!

SINE METU VIVITE

Hello! - I’m back

Due to the short change in lifestyle I’m currently doing GVT - from the Poliquin article:
http://www.charlespoliquin.com/ArticlesMultimedia/Articles/Article/261/A_Look_Back_and_Ahead_at_German_Volume_Training.aspx

and am pairing it with Pavel Fighter Pull-ups - to get my pull-up numbers up.

Day 11 12/05/11

Pre: Foam rolling/stretches/activation etc.

A. BP - 10 x 4 @ 253 (60-100s rest)
B. Pendlay Row - 10 x 4 @ 198 (under 60s rest)

C1. Dips: (90s rest)
1 @ 45 x 9
1 @ 55 x 8
1 @ 88 x 3
C2. Deadstop One Arm Row: (90s rest)
1 @ 80’s x 10
2 @ 100’s x 10
(C1 C2: Alternating sets i.e. C1 rest C2 rest C1 etc…)

Very happy with the session - got through all bench sets.
Pendlay Row was still a bit too easy, but it set the scene for C2. MMC wise.

Got a bit too keen for the dips but I’m looking forward to when I start repping that 88.

(weight up 5lb - but that could be anything)

Day 12 13/05/11

Pre: Foam rolling/stretches/activation etc.

A. BS - 10 x 4 @ 308(80-100s rest)
B. RDL (toes raised 4 sec ecc.) - 10 x 4 @ 242(under 60s rest)

C1. Walking DB Lunge: (90s rest)
3 @ 100’s x 6ea leg
C2. Upright Frankenstein walks (belt attached - emphasis on heel drive): (90s rest)
3 @ 110 x 30m
(C1 C2: Alternating sets i.e. C1 rest C2 rest C1 etc…)

Really happy with the session - squats went well
I suck at DB Lunges

Spent a bit of time trying to make an ankle attachment - wanted to do some standing leg curls after the Frank walks, was wasting time so I got over it. But I’ve worked out how I’ll do it for next time though.

GVT is a solid program, it helped my pressing a ton.

Nice squats man.

Awesome - it’s great to hear that you got good results from it.
Thanks man

Day 14 15/05/11

Pre: Foam rolling/stretches/activation etc.

A1. Dec. CGBP (30X0) - 10 x 4 @ 220 (80-100s rest)

(A1 A2: Alternating sets i.e. A1 rest A2 rest A1 etc…)

B1. Dick’s Press: (90s rest)
1 @ 132 x 11
1 @ 143 x 9
1 @ 154 x 7
B2. Meadows Cross Body Curl: (90s rest)
3 @ 55’s x 8
(B1 B2: Alternating sets i.e. B1 rest B2 rest B1 etc…)

DeFranco Shoulder Shocker - repeat. twice

Cool session - great pump
There isn’t much shoulder work so I’ve added DeFranco SS

Day 16 17/05/11

Pre: Foam rolling/stretches/activation etc.

A. Dec. BP - 10 x 4 @ 265 (80-100s rest)
B. Strict Bent Row - 10 x 4 @ 220 (60s rest)

C2. Chest Supported DB Row: (90s rest)
3 @ 95’s x 10
(C1 C2: Alternating sets i.e. C1 rest C2 rest C1 etc…)

Enjoyable session - ran out of gas on C1 though, esp with slower neg
