I Need Some Tough Love

eat a bananna and drink a bottle of kombucha
go for a walk in the woods.
take a pause and just stand still in the woods with no one around (forest bathing it’s called)
read: ‘zen mind, beginners mind’ by Suzuki, and ‘Subtle art of not giving a fuck’ by Mark Manson.
while you read those books, find something that interests you that involves your hands. Art work, sculpture, gardening, working on old motorcycles or cars, playing with legos…find something that occupies your brain space and uses your hands. you could refurbish old tools and sell for a profit on CL.

Sign up for an adult learning class (usually less than $150 or so) so you can do something, invest in yourself and possibly meet another girl.

do more, think less. move more, sit still less. This isn’t “tough love” and it’s not going to cure depression. Still take the advice of seeing a professional, but these things could help you.

“enlightenment is in your efforts” - Suzuki.

It’s not in your achievements, that thinking is wrong. It’s what it took to achieve that is enlightening.

Too old for school?.. Really?
My uncle immigrated here from the Middle East at the ripe age of 27 (with no skills in the English language). Went to community college, 4 year, med school, and now is comfortably retired at his late 50s.
Get off your ass and push on with the rest of us.
