I’ve been training, living, breathing and dreaming jiu jitsu the past ten years, spending several hours each day on the mats doing what I love most. The past year and a half has been tough on me though only training three times a week. Most of the training staff from our old gym decided to leave and open up our own place, which has taken a lot of time, effort and money to accomplish. Time and money well spent though since we now have the biggest place in the region and mats are finally getting filled up to the point where we can now open up more training sessions.

So why the title change you might ask.

  • Well, before we left the old gym and opened up our own, I was spending some 20-35 hours a week on the mats and strength training next to that was brutal and to taxing.
    I decided to seek out professional help from someone who understood jiu jitsu and what strength qualities are needed to better ones Chances on the mats.
    Eventually I decided to contact Steve maxwell and shortly thereafter we enteret a business relationship that lastet the better part of a year or until the day I looked down and saw my knee cap on the wrong side of my leg.

12 weeks with a brace and crouches the docters said. then we think youll be ready to loose the crouches and if youre ready for it begin the rehab. Didn’t take that long though, but how was I to know that I would be back on the mats after three weeks, leaving my docters complety amazed returning a month later for a follow up - busting in the door without croches or brace “here take it, I don’t need it anymore” cat scan and mri showing no signs of trauma at all. Eventually led to the our team name “wolverine”
Anyhow, I didn’t know I was the real wolverine so I had to stop the relationship with Maxwell.

Now that I’m on the mats again dayli I am no longer able to follow the previous rutine and even though it has been a good run with some pretty nice PR’s I’m glad to change back to my old rutine, more jits, less strength training.

More sets less time spendt. Not sure if that’s a positive trade off but I was toast after todays sparring, which ended 45 min before the strength session began.

Well fuck stick that log didn’t go on for long ! Should have known with a half ass program like that! Completly lost my will to train, well fuck, I lost my will to live even! god dammit steve maxwell, what the fuck kind of pussy program is that!

Well lucky for me I fucked up my shoulder with those redicolous amounts of military presses. Couldn’t lift my fucking arm above my fucking head all of a fucking sudden. Lucky for me cause I’m not doing that stupid shit program anymore!

Fuck that stupid ass military press program and fuck steve maxwell! nah he’s alright, but fuck that military press program!

I’m onto something completely new and way better! it’s the first program I did, that shit rocked! and the best part, there’s no moterfucking military presses in there, anywhere and I would know. I made it ! so fuck you military press program and welcome back, awesome program!

But shit, I need a new name if I’m about to start a new log. Yeah I got one. it’s a real pretty one as well. See you on the log side!
