Those principals you listed are not dead. On the contrary. We’re constantly exercising our rights with our voices, our votes, our will, and our ways. America was not built on a rigid rail, but rather a flowing fabric - much like the linen of our flag! It bends, it certainly waves in the direction the wind dictates, and best of all, it’s resilient!

No.

Freedom is self-determination, not co-determination.

Since everything is now “voted on” The Republic is dead, America, as an idea, is no more.

Well, you had a good run.
Fool.

The vote itself was voted on since day one! It IS the basis of out great system - one that IS thriving and WILL thrive.

You’re just conditioned to see a few hurdles and throw in the towel.

The point about Stacy Dash is she received a lot of back lash from other black people for supporting romney that was racially based. It is just an example of a lack of tolerance by the black community, as in she was no longer “black” if she preferred romney.

I guess my point being many black people that are republican are attacked, racially, by other black people.
When you have a Republican party that goes out of its way to demonize, look down on Black Americans, it’s not really a shock that most Blacks vote Democratic. Why would any sane black person want to go where he/she’s not welcome, regardless of the issues? Of course, a black person will be shunned by the community, especially when some of those Black Reps agree with the likes of Romney and O’Reilly about minorities in America (Republicans usually mean black people) being lazy and liking hand outs or ‘‘free stuff’’. When was the last time that you heard a black republican defend this point?

Democrats may have their share of racists but they will get Blacks regardless of the issue because they are perceived as being inclusive, not only minorities but gays, women etc.

As for Alfonzo and the rest of the sellouts, they need to seat the fuck down. There isn’t such thing as reverse racism, since it is what they are implying. They are fools. They often support aid for major corporations and such under the guise of creating jobs and, they are usually against government aid when it benefits poor and middle class people. Example, Mia love. She is the type of assholes that Blacks have an issue with. She’s a fucking hypocrite. She hates government handouts, yet she’d benefited from HANDOUTS for HER education. Something stinks as far as her background/family is concerned and yet she’d willingly support the deportation of other illegal Haitians.

Anyway, I’d also say some blacks are not squarely liberal, and may have their share of conservative views on moral issues. That would not make them any less of a Democrat in the political text though. Too many individual ideas get grouped together under the label of ‘‘Liberal’’ or ‘‘Conservative.’’ There are always exceptions to the rule.

I’d agree with you to a certain extent; I can see the most minorities within the next 2-6 years in congress coming from the Republican party. The Reps will have no other choice than to reform and become more diverse, and, hopefully allow minorities to take much bigger roles.

HOWEVER, considering the Reps’s attitude toward race and gender, I don’t think republicans would actually nominate a minority to represent them, let alone a woman. But who knows? Any of those guys and gals you mentioned, may be used to bring black and minority vote in.

People are already talking about Hilary v Condi but Condi is pro choice and she was apart of Bush’s administration, which has left a bitter after-taste in many Americans’ mouths, so to speak. So I don’t see her as a next Prez.
Conservatives believe in rule of law. No one wants hispanics out of the country. Conservatives want people to follow the law, whether they be hispanic, black, white, whatever. Immigration is a matter of costs and rule of law. Immigration is a matter of costs and rule of law.
Lemme do a Kanye impersonation here, ‘‘the Reps don’t give a shit about the Latino/Hispanics community.’’ The Latinos realized it. Romney underestimated them. Probably wished he never mentioned ‘‘Self-deportation’’ and leant toward his party’s further right values, but instead, worked with the Hispanic community in order to find a better solution on how to deal with the illegal immigration issues.

What??? Lol! I take your word for it

Check the speeches one of these days, you’ll see what I’m on about.

Indeed.

Shit, this is such a long post.

A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine.â??

Thomas Jefferson

Democracy… while it lasts is more bloody than either [aristocracy or monarchy]. Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There is never a democracy that did not commit suicide.â??

John Adams

Masculine republics degrade into feminine democracies, and from there slide into despotism.

Aristotle

There is nothing new under the sun and only a complete lack of a sense of history would make one feel to be exempt from the laws of human nature.

In reality, you are the copy, of the copy, of the copy, of the copy, of the copy…

You are not above it, you are not beyond it, you are just the 500th moth or so flying into the flames, blinded by drunken hubris.

Seems someone doesn’t understand the difference between a democracy and a representative republic. And it takes an Austrian to explain it. What’s America coming to?

And where are the Habsburgs today? They certainly had plenty of hubris and knew how to expand their empire via marriage but today you’re about as relevant as Zambia. I seem to recall both Frederick the Great and Napoleon kicking your ass and a couple of little episodes known as WWI and WWII.

I’d usually listen to this, (vinyl record mind you, not that CD shit) in the dark, pondering on my sins, a cynical smile on my face, a la Patrick Bateman.

And it always feels so good, so liberating. Fuck, it’s like being on drugs.

Its a memento mori, it is meant for you to contemplate your sins and shortcomings.

The trick is to grab those realizations and drag them into your life.

If you haven’t heard it; fifteen minutes that will change your life.

I’d fucked with this piece playing loudly in my room. That was one crazy experience. That was like being in fucking heaven. Exhilarating. Stimulating. Explosive.

A priest better not come to me when this plays. 'Cos I might fuck him too.
