I Just Feel Like Dancin'

I’d argue any one of you when it comes to economics but the problem is I don’t have any time right now. Maybe in a couple of weeks. But it won’t be from a liberal perspective (I am actually neutral politically) - it will be from a real and academic perspective.

Translation: I am apolitical. Yet you accuse me of not supporting Obama solely because of his disdain for Israel. There are a million reasons I don’t like Obama and that’s just one.

So if we get past the race baiting and celebratory dancing… Why are Obama supporters so glad that he was re elected?

He hasn’t done much at all in his first term except increase troop deployments to Afghan, repeal “Don’t ask Don’t Tell”, increase drone strikes (including strikes in Yemen on the night of the election), not legalize gay marriage, push through health care reform legislation, “close Guantanamo bay” (LOLOLOL) see our national deficit reach an insurmountable number and be in office while unemployment reached a near all time high?

Not to mention the fact that he passed legislation that allows US Citizens to be indefinitely detained WITHOUT trial?

I am not a staunch Romney supporter in the slightest and I had high hopes for Obamas first term but there’s a reason that second term presidencies are known as “lame duck” terms… They never accomplish more in their second term than they did in the first.

I am 100% NOT trying to start a flame war here, I am just genuinely curious as to why some of the O supporters on here are so excited other than because it was a Dem who won the election.
Im happy because it pisses people off. Thats all. I dont care about politics at all. Lol

I voted for obama bc i knew soo many people hate him and would puke if he won…
and there have been oodles of lulz so far.

Especially the doomsday predictions.

What a joke. Absolute disgrace to everyone who has died for your rights.

Yeah, to point out the people in that video need a history lesson.
Oh, then how about you phone Young Jeezy and all the people in this video and offer them your services as a Black History professor, CB, since you seem to know more about Black History than them? I’m sure they’ll appreciate it. You know, us Black folks are clueless when it comes to our history.

People can vote for and support anyone they want, but the man did enough for this country in his life to not be put in a situation his own words imply he would not like being part of.
Haha, I swear, this coming from a republican is hilarious. I just love when that video of Malcom X is brought up by Reps. What year are we in now, CB? 2012? Did you vote Reps for what they represented 60 or 70 years /centuries ago? Which party has more racist right wingers nowadays? Which party does not cater for minorities, gays, lesbians, women, middle class’ interests?

Hopefully, you’d guessed that Malcom wasn’t endorsing the Reps either. Malcolm was trying to tell black folks that they need to be more self reliant. More than likely he was suggesting a third party or a revolution, AT THAT TIME.

PRECISELY. It’s 2012, (2008 in the vid, but it still applies). Different day, different time, different political environment.

What’s the disgrace? The fact that he voted only to piss Obama haters?

Really??? At least he VOTED. Better than staying at home and not vote at all. The ancestors would be rolling in their graves if he hadn’t.

Anyone who thought Ct Rocks reply to me was serious doesn’t know Ct Rock very well lol

The rights they died for guarantee his freedom of expression. And yours.

I still haven’t had one single Obama supporter answer my question.

Seeing as how there are some PWI regulars showing up now I can see how some might not want to discuss it in this thread. Please feel free to PM me if you don’t mind. I am genuinely curious about the reason behind all of the celebratory dancing other than 1. A Democrat won. 2. The black candidate won. 3. A republican didn’t win lol.

What specifically about Obama are you so pumped about?

Really, Beans? Did you say the same thing on Bush’s watch when we were in 2 wars (one not even necessary) that were not even in the budget, millions of jobs disappeared, not to mention the debt racked up? When did you begin to fear for your kids’ future?

My fears began 12 years ago.

So he can finish the job he started (cleaning up after Bush). The recovery is in place, the auto industry not only recovered and payed back the “loan”, but it’s thriving like a motherfucker.

And don’t even tell me you wouldn’t be jumping for joy right now if Romney won. Those people crying right now, stunned that Romney lost, would be in the streets dancing and partying if he had won, and you know it.

I am not stunned. I predicted an Obama win for months until wavering the last couple weeks. My celebration is of the faithfulness of God in not allowing this country to forever smear it’s filth on His face. I’m not angry. I rejoice on one hand and grieve for you on the other. This thread is the very definition of why the United States has not survived.

The ideology that no gov should dictate who an individual can love, how that individual worships (or doesn’t), what that individual can do with her own body, etc?
