I Am a Vegetarian...

vegeterianism is not a right or wrong issue. it is just a person’s arbitrary perception on what is alive. i used to be angry at carnivores until i grew up and realized that nobody eats what they consider to be alive. whether it is a snail or a human fetus. what one considers to be alive is arbitrary and personal.

i eat fish but not cows, i cannot logicaly justify that, like you eat cows but not baby humans, or even baby cows. this perplexes me.
high and mighty vegeterians have the same passionate agenda as pro-lifers[/quote]

What is alive and what is not, is neither arbitrary or personal. Plants by definition are alive, we kill them to survive. Cows are alive, we kill them to survive. It has more to do with an individuals wah factor.

meh, live and let live… if someone does or doesnt want to do something who the crap cares, as long as it doesnt affect your life. That said, I think a lot of the internet bad asses here poking fun at this guy about killing small animals have probably never killed a living animal and field dressed it. Actually killing an animal and gutting it yourself gives you a respect for the animal and a genuine appreciation for it.

I agree with the field dressing giving you more respect and appreciation for the animal. I have always felt a small amount of sadness simply because a life came to an end. However that doesn’t translate into remorse. It does create a respect for the living creature. I don’t think it can be explained. It is something that has to be experienced.
