Hungry Already?

I just started my 6-7 meal every 3 hours a day diet. Last year my problem was that only ate 3 meals a day and only pulled in about 1800 calories. I worked hard, but didn’t eat big. Anyways, I notice that I am already getting hungrier every 2-3 hours after starting this diet.

10:00AM
This morning I had a huge breakfast. May not be to some, but at my size it was. It consisted of a large bowl of cereal, a piece of toast with peanut butter, an apple, and a glass of milk with one scoop of my protein powder mixed in.

1:00PM
Snack 1: I had an apple and 20 or so ritz crackers.

2:00PM
Rolls around and I am already hungry and ready for lunch. It has only been an hour since my last snack. Maybe I need to eat a larger snack.

I need to pull in 3600 calories a day to gain weight. Can anybody give me some percentages to which I should separate my calories between meals throughout the day? What do you do?

I suspect that the hunger has to do w/ having such a high percentage of carbs. If you shift your diet to more protein and less carbs you’ll feel satisfied longer.

Alright, that makes sense. I remember reading about that, but I forgot to actually apply it to my diet. Thank you.

Marza’s point is well taken. The insulin yo yo will do that. However She’s a sis ;-]

its the so called snack, apple and crackers. Of course you were hungry later add on a nice big protein source to that.
