HRT: Health Issues & Considering Test

I’m sure there are a lot more open minded docs that are more clued in to hormonal balance in LA.

Hmmm…well then I hope I can get out there by June as tentatively planned and find someone. Been reading some different sites, and it seems some doctors are all about “normal ranges”, yet others like for example www.allthingsmale.com, talk about individuals who may need to get into the higher ranges and not just settle for what the average ranges are.

My one doctor in DC is very very cool, and open minded, so I dont think its in any negative way or close minded, but he thinks since Im “within range” that its ok and might climb naturally once the stress of retirement is over. Obviously Id like to kick start it and not sit around feeling like $%^# for any longer, and I emailed the NCAA but never got info back…was wondering if they kept records of test levels, although it was 12+ years ago, I got tested pretty much every football camp and spring football…so I never believed in the whole “random” testing, I got tested every freaking time, and my athletic trainers were always asking if I was juicing.

Although naturally Im sure it dropped in the decade since those tests until 31ish when all this stuff happened, I gurantee I was in higher ranges because I still was a very strong dude keeping up with D-I college kids, while working two jobs with little sleep. I wish I had a baseline pre-injury, to try to have some examples for doctors…ie if Im 360 now, and 4 years ago was 800, probably not a good thing…

Well if anyone reading this thread knows tuned in doc’s in DC or LA, please shoot me a PM.

You might try PMing KSman, he could probably refer you to a competent doc.
