somebody actually mentioned it on the bodybuilding.com forum, thank God, after reading around for a while, i figured i never had to go back there again.
A buddy, the (Battalion Recon Platoon Leader) and I started lifting together in Nov 05 after we deployed to Iraq. One day he points to some thin, younger guys in the gym and laughs saying “Look, they’re doing squat-rack curls.” I looked at him with the look of that guy who doesn’t get the inside joke. He says “I’ll email you the link”. He did, and here I am.
I found it through google trying to find out what “21’s” were, and I ended up reading nearly every article on the site. I was blinded by all the knowledge! Been reading daily since Feb. 05. Thanks for everything!
I first ran into T-Nation while looking for dieting artiles online (I know it’s pretty lame…) I googled “diet programs” or something and ended up being directed to an article on T-Nation about the Veloity Diet.
I read it and was immediately amazed. The fact that someone would not only go to the trouble of designing such a hardcore program, but atually implemet it fascinated me. I checked out what the website was all about and joined later that week.
I was googling for a set/rep program and found CW’s set/rep bible. I was like, holy shit, this is amazing. Then I started reading the rest of the site and just got blown away.
There was a flaming in effect here by and on someone who was known as “BigConan”…then he got kicked off and he made another name “Jacked Hulk”.
The link to the thread was posted on another site…I don’t remember which one, and I clicked on it. Led me here. Been here ever since and never even went to the other site again.
The sad thing is that BigConan/Jacked Hulk had a few good points once he’d shut up with his attempts to flame and puff out his chest…
i have found it as a reference on a post in the italian newsgroup it.sport.palestra
The Pro Wrestling Torch made a link to a “Dead Pool” of T-Nations because they mentioned HHH. I thought the site was funny at first, and then realized that what their coaches were saying actually made sense and they backed it up. I stopped opening the monthly plastic bags that my subscribed FLEX magazines came in. That was back in 2001.

Very few “old guard” people here. I guess that’d explain why the quality of the forum has gone so far downhill.
Mos tof the old guard is gone. I was here when the forum first started. The only one I remember is Nate Dogg. I used to post under irondoc.
What happens to all web boards is you start gettign into same old same old stuff. Old guys get tired of it, the new people don’t so old guys leave. mSometimes jobs and other obligations play a part.
My brother in-law joined the Marines, and left all of his magazines behind. I stumbled across an old T-Mag, and went to the website.
I have no idea when that was. 2000 - 2001?
I have been here pretty much everyday since then.
A few months ago I saw a listing for a TV show on the BBC1 about Greg Valentino “The Most Hated Man in Bodybuilding” I regularly look up stuff on the Net instead of watching the TV show, so the Greg Valentino link took me to this site. I read that article and went on to surf other articles and threads, and got well hooked on this site. I haven’t gone a day without T-Nation since.

I did a google search for something training related in 1999 and found this website. I can’t believe it’s been 7 years!
I used to read a website called ABCBodybuilding.com (and they actually had some good info) back in 2002. Some guy who posted on the forum had a list of websites on his signature, and T-Mag was one of them. It took me a while to become a regular, but I’m glad I did.

I used to get the magazine at Wal-Mart quite a while ago and then it stopped showing up on the shelves. So, I searched the Web and found the site many moons ago.
Same here. Remembered TC from MM2K. Had a subsc. Started going to the website after they quit printing. Still waiting for my last three issues!!
I was watching a stage production of the Vagina Monologues, and there was an ad at the beginning.
I was attempting to find some more info on all the bad experiences people have had on M1Ts for a buddy of mine. We can find them pretty easy and I was attempting to convince him away from taking them.
