Sorry to start yet another thread on Howard Dean, but this was too much to pass up. From an op-ed reporting on a Dean speech:
“The president and his right-wing Supreme Court think it is ‘okay’ to have the government take your house if they feel like putting a hotel where your house is,” Dean said, not mentioning that until he nominated John Roberts to the Supreme Court this week, Bush had not appointed anyone to the high court.
Here is a look at how some visitors to the Daily Kos - Democratic partisans - have reacted.
Some, with concern:
“There’s simply no way that Dean’s comments can be spun to make them even remotely defensible. Dean’s tendency to shoot his mouth off was endearing to us Deaniacs as a matter of pride during the campaign, but as DNC chair it’s been a constant embarrassment.”
Others - well, yikes:
“I’m 100% behind it. Why? Because it resonates, and I’m perfectly willing to go for a false statement that illustrates a truth.”
When will the DLC call for some change? Will they call for change?
