Sorry about the gibberish in the last post, difficult trying to type with a boy asleep in your arms (while looking after another kid ![]()
I work on PCs (and IBM servers occasionally) predominantly. We have plenty of problems (altho I have NEVER had a problem with drivers mucking up other components, but have seen some on other computers-not my ‘own’)
I have used Macs since their inception, lovely little monochrome boxes
I remember seeing an apple Lisa when I was younger, altho didnt get to play with that.
Once Jobs departed company with apple, things went to shit, and now hes back things go in deeper. Apple proclaim lack of problems with their products compared to PCs, the iMac’s (as in I have probably used >80 different ones over the years, amongst others) that I gave up using becuase they were constantly having problems and not to mention all semi-modern macs i have used (power pc/emac/imac/g4/dual processor g4’s etc) were as slow as shit and cost an absolute fortune. (dual 2ghz G5 may not be as slow as shit, but it will still cost a fuckin fortune)
What I was mentioning about Macs and viruses was, when a virus gets developed for a mac, there is much more room for damage, because mac users assume that they cant be struck (ie Michelles comment - get a mac). If wildlist show that there is only ~220 viruses out in the wild (completely different to what the virus companies say of course) there is bound to be far less viruses for apples, because there they make up fuck all of the entire PC population.
altho macs fuck me off most of the time when using them, Im still not antimac, as they are nice machines esp osx etc. But they are just not as invincible/awsome as the macites make them out to be.
