Mwilson, very sorry to hear about your situation, especially for your daughter. I’m speaking from experience here. You have gotten some great advice, please follow it. In particular regarding SOLE PHYSICAL CUSTODY. This is very important because 6 months from now, a year from now, 5 years from now your wife may change her mind and you and your daughter could be in for a rude awakening. You need to be in total control of her future and welfare. I would even trade some child support for this as it will be so important down the road. Chances are she may have a new man already(sorry to say that, but it may be true), if not, say she meets a guy, gets married, and decides she wants your daughter to live with her in CA or wherever. You have got to protect yourself and your daughter now, as it will be hard to change things later.
Also, make sure your lawyer is the best, borrow money from family if you have to. Ask for help from your family and friends, as I know, single parenting is a tough 24 hour a day job. Keep smiling, brother, things will get better.
