Well, If finding a home (free) is an option, then I agree, he should be getting that done before anything else.

But if that isn’t an option, and he can’t afford any rent, then I say live in the car and train and eat as much as possible anyways, while looking for a job or place to stay.[/quote]

dude what? if the mofo can’t provide for himself, then all that time training and extra eating should be spent on a JOB.

Joining the Corps was the reason I got thrown out by the woman I was living with in the first place. Still the best decision I ever made.

The Army was the best decision I ever made with five years in there is still a number of options to explore like Flight School, SFAS, PSYOPS, Civil Affairs, DELTA and others organizations. I think BJack it would be the responsible thing for you do and it will definitely give you skills and make you more marketable in the civilian world. Its the easiest job you will ever hate…just show up in the right uniform at the right time, don’t be a dumbass and all is well. Oh yeah chicks dig a guy in uniform !

Don’t get me wrong, my priorities will be earning money to sustain myself and doing well in school(taking classes this summer). However, there will undoubtedly be some time that I can workout, even if it’s just getting in a lift or two before I shower at the Rec. I’ve thought about the armed forces; is the national guard a good option? I’ve heard that they’ll pay your student loans.

That or fuck someone with a place, I had a girl living with me for months. Crazy situation, We had hooked up after a party. Made her breakfast, and when I was driving her home and asked where she lived she started crying. She was from out of state, parents cut her off, she had tuition loans, but couldn’t afford a place, living out of her car.

Told her she could stay with me till she found a job and got a place, a month later or so she did get a job, but we started going out by this point, so she just stayed.

I used to tell people my girlfriend was only sleeping with me because she was homeless, she used to pop me in the face for that joke.

the ‘big army’ will pay for your loans as well.

you’ll also have a full time job. with the guard you only get paid for one weekend a month and your two week annual training

Yeah ! What Buff Bagwell said.

ROTC at your university? They’ll pay for your school and you’ve got a job when you get out. Plus make some great connects, and one of them would probably let you crash at their place.

Jim Carrey lived in his van for 8 months

just sayin
