How to Explain Gay Rights to Dummies
Tiribulus wrote:
I wanna make clear that apart from the grace of my beautiful savior? I have been and am every bit as bad as anyone else and probably worse than many. I’ll just say that in my young days before I came to know the Lord I was a pretty boy, long blonde n blue with a serious gift of gab. Not to mention I had drugs and money. I had no problem getting girls to do what I wanted. If God would grant me one wish I would ask Him if I could marry my wife over with both of us being virgins so we could make all those glorious discoveries together just the two of us. I mean that with everything I am man. I am just as guilty as anybody else.
You do understand there are numerous couples who get married not virgins, experience a fulfilling marriage, and do not regret their lack of virginity, don’t you? On the other hand, there are those who marry virgins and regret not having experienced more for the rest of their lives. Of course there are also those who marry virgins and it works out. So, it depends on the two people.

What happened with you and your’s, if you don’t mind me asking?

I can see the density in people’s understanding of how society functions. It is not the sexual act in and of itself, we have emphasized that many times, but you can’t get past that.

Do they teach critical thinking to people anymore?

I am done, I have seen there is no logical argument to someone with an agenda.

You still haven’t answered how allowing gay people to marry is a great inconvenience to you. It’s not like you’re going to have to pay more for a marriage license, or your kids are going to be forced into gay sex. That’s where your comparison to accommodating the obese breaks down. If an airline makes “fat seats”, your ticket will reflect the price of them. Also, accommodating a person who steals or cheats means less money for you. Accommodating men who like fucking other men just means more women for you. It wont affect your pocket book or any other aspect of your personal life.
Because the movement is directly violating my rights, forcing me to pay for their agenda, forcing their views on my children, and forcing me to change my beliefs.
How is it violating your rights? You keep saying all of this but you don’t say HOW. Give me specifics.

Taxes and decision-making rights. That’s it.
Decision-making rights can easily be handled by living wills and powers of attorney.

So all this yappin’ boils down to people squawkin’ about taxes?

In all seriousness, yes. They want to be able to add whoever they want to their family, specifically in the legal position, with the same ramifications, as a husband/wife. That’s literally all they want from you.

I’m sure they would also like other people to stop electrocuting their youth, but everyone has a pie-in-the-sky dream.

I just want to add that gays might be hurt by the fact that other people hate them for being gay, but they generally accept that they can’t change your opinion. No one who’s gay who I’ve met even dares to dream that anyone’s opinion of them is going to change if they can marry. They still count on being hated and know that it’s never going to change completely. The marriage thing, for them, is really only about the taxes and adding someone to their family. It doesn’t have anything to do with you.

"Prof De Mattei, who was awarded an order of knighthood by the Vatican in recognition for his service to the Catholic Church, has previously caused controversy by speaking out about gay rights, the contraceptive pill and the alleged persecution of Christians by Muslims in Kosovo and Lebanon.

Last month he said that the earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan were punishments from God and “a way of purifying human sin”. "

Don’t edit out the critical part of my post. That was purty darn disingenuous of you.

Since you did so, I will re-post it.

Mr. Lawndart is correct, why do they need government validation? I daresay it aint 'bout taxes at all but rather an attempt to force society to accept their behavior as normal. I have swung in the past as you know but I have absolutely no desire to insist that society accept that as normal or appropriate. Why can’t gays maintain my attitude? Because they DO have an agenda that insists on coercion. They want to ram it down everyone’s throat.

Just had to see it again, huh? Even though I addressed that in the original reply and another post I made.

Yeah, give me a cord and a stable power supply and I will cure your heterosexuality in 2 days.

You cannot cure what is healthy, natural, productive and normal… however, homosexuality as a disorder is treatable indeed, although a chance of a complete success is only about 60% but it still helped those people and society… But you didn’t answer what is going to be next if this is going to continue…

You clearly don’t know much about behavior modification.

Even he believes I love him regardless of Pat’s incessant attempts to make a Westboro guy outta me. Whoever you’re talkin about it ain’t me.

I just sent him an email as a matter of fact. I miss the guy. He is your champion. They don’t get any better than him. Well maybe Squatting Bear. He is right now where it took me like 3 months to get Elder Forlife to. Once there though? He ran up the flag and bunkered in.

I’ll need some time to pray and think about whether and if so how to best respond to your previous question.

I’ll need some time to pray and think about whether and if so how, to best respond to your previous question. It won’t be nearly as meaningful to you and Lilith as it is to me.

It’s a myth within a myth, T-Cat, but I knew someone on here would be struck by a moment of catharsis if I used her as an avatar. I’m a little sorry it’s you, as that’s probably going to fuck with you more than I intended.
