How Quickly Do Nads Quit on TRT?

I have read many many posts and learned a lot here, but haven’t found the answer to this question.

I had new labs 4 days into TRT, and the numbers were very high. That wasn’t too surprising because my doctor gave me a large first dose (to be followed by smaller doses), and at that time my body was still producing its own share of T (mine wasn’t horribly low to start).

Within some period of time, I expect my body will shut down its production of T (not yet using hCG), so only the exogenous T will remain, and I’d expect the lab numbers to be lower at that point. But the question is how long? A week, a month, much longer?

I ask because I’m trying to get an idea of how long I’d need to be on TRT before my body stabilizes and lab results are meaningful. My doctor wouldn’t have me do any new labs before 6 weeks, but I’m doing more out of curiosity - and to dial in my E2 with Adex.

Note I didn’t give any numbers here because this is a general question - not about trying to hit a specific target.

Exogenous T in sufficient doses will shut down the HPTA, including testicles, almost immediately, i.e., within 3 days or so. But it takes a while for the rest of your hormonal and neurotransmitter pathways to stabilize in response to the higher level of testosterone, perhaps 4-6 weeks or even longer.
